Declaration of Intent to Contest for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Under the Pseudo Labour Party (LP)

Fellow Nigerians,

With great humility, unwavering determination, and a deep love for our nation, I, Rabi'atu Balarabe Gani, hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the platform of the Labour Party (LP) in the upcoming general elections.

Our nation stands at a critical crossroads burdened by insecurity, economic hardship, youth unemployment, and social inequality. Nigeria is blessed with immense human and natural resources, yet the promise of our greatness remains unfulfilled. It is time for a new kind of leadership, honest, accountable, people-centered, and driven by the principles of equity, justice, and national development.

The Labour Party represents the values of integrity, progress, and service to the people. As a party of the masses, we believe in empowering ordinary Nigerians, rebuilding our institutions, and creating opportunities for all, not just the privileged few.

My candidacy will focus on:

Reviving the economy through job creation and industrialization

Strengthening national security and uniting our diverse people

Investing in education, healthcare, and infrastructure

Fighting corruption and promoting good governance

OFFICE OF THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE (ELCOM)
PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES ELECTION RESULT – APRIL 30, 2025

In accordance with the electoral guidelines and constitution of the Labour Party, the Electoral Committee (ELCOM) officially conducted the Labour Party Cohort XVII Presidential Primaries using the Direct Primaries Method on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM via WhatsApp Polling.

The total number of eligible and active voters as submitted by the Party Executive was 70.
The total number of votes cast was 38, representing a 54.3% voter turnout.

ELECTION RESULTS:

1. Rabi’atu Balarabe Gani, FIPMD – 31 votes – 81.6%

2. Bada Azeez Akinola – 4 votes – 10.5%

3. Stephen Alechenu Aba – 3 votes – 7.9%

Total Valid Votes: 38
Invalid Votes: 0

DECLARATION OF RESULT:
Having secured the highest number of valid votes cast and meeting all electoral guidelines, the Electoral Committee hereby declares:

Rabi’atu Balarabe Gani, FIPMD
as the duly elected Presidential Flag Bearer of the Labour Party Cohort XVII.

NEXT STEPS:

The petition window is now open and shall remain so until 10:00 PM tonight, Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Any petition must be submitted to the Electoral Committee Secretary and copied to the Chairman.

In the absence of valid petitions, the official presentation of the Party Flag and Certificate of Party Flag Bearer will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 1, 2025, by 9:00 AM via Google Meet. All party members are invited.

We appreciate the cooperation of all party members and reaffirm our commitment to uphold transparency, fairness, and integrity.

Labour Party Cohort XVII – Electoral Committee Announcement

Dear Esteemed Party Members,

This is to officially notify you that voting for the Labour Party Presidential Primaries will commence at exactly 2:00 PM today, Thursday, May 1, 2025 and will be conducted via WhatsApp Poll in the official party group.

Kindly take note of the voting rules and guidelines below:

✅ VOTING RULES:

Each member is entitled to ONE vote only – no double voting allowed.

Votes must be cast via the official WhatsApp group poll only.

Voting window is 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (4 hours only).

Do NOT privately message any member to influence voting outcomes.

❌ DISQUALIFICATION POINTS:

Multiple attempts to vote or tampering with the process.

Mobilizing others to vote in a dishonest manner.

Campaigning or soliciting votes after 12:00 noon today.

Sharing screenshots or vote proof to sway others.

Undue interference with the Electoral Committee or candidates during voting.

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

All voting activities are being monitored by ELCOM.

Only verified members will be considered valid voters.

Results will be announced at 6:15 PM, following vote collation.

Any electoral dispute must be reported to ELCOM between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Presentation of Certificate of Party Flag Bearer will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM via Google Meet.

This is to officially announce that the campaign period for the Labour Party Cohort XVII Presidential Primaries has now CLOSED as of 12:00 NOON today, Thursday, May 1, 2025.

In line with the electoral timetable and guidelines, no further campaign activities or vote solicitation (public or private) will be tolerated from this moment forward. This includes messages, images, voice notes, or any other form of canvassing on WhatsApp or other platforms.

Violations will attract strict penalties, including potential disqualification.

Let us maintain the integrity of our process and allow voters to make free and fair decisions.
