I was delighted to pay a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Dr. Adegboyega Oyetola, CON.

Our engagement focused on the Federal Government’s Blue Economy agenda and the vast opportunities it offers for sustainable fisheries, aquaculture development, job creation, and economic diversification. We also discussed the vital role of research, innovation, and evidence-based policies in unlocking Nigeria’s marine and aquatic resources.

ARCN remains fully aligned with this vision and is committed to supporting the Ministry through strategic research partnerships that will deliver tangible benefits to Nigerians.

Today, I received the Divisional Police Officer, Wuye Division, CSP Mary Usman, in my office in Abuja.

We had a productive conversation on strengthening collaboration between the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) and the Nigerian Police Force, especially in promoting security and peace.

I commended the Police for their dedication to professionalism and maintaining stability, while emphasizing the importance of continuous inter-agency cooperation. CSP Mary Usman reaffirmed the Police commitment to protecting lives and property, assuring that effective security measures are in place across the FCT.

Strong partnerships remain key to a safer and more stable society.

I paid a courtesy visit to the Emir, Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, Etsu Nupe, earlier today. The visit was to pay my respects and to strengthen the existing relationship between the Council and the Emirate. I also discussed the importance of agricultural research and collaboration for sustainable development in the state
