BREAKING: DSS Releases Omoyele Sowore
The Department of State Services (DSS) has released the convener of protests, Mr Omoyele Sowore.
This comes hours after the Federal Government ordered the DSS to release the activist, as well as the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
After regaining his freedom, Sowore was escorted out of the Headquarters of the Service by Mr Abubakar Marshal, a lawyer from the chambers of Mr Femi Falana.
As he departed from the DSS office, the activist chanted ‘revolution now and forever’, and wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas.
The DSS arrested Sowore, the publisher of online media outfit Sahara Reporters, on August 3.
Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, are standing trial on a 16-count bordering on treasonable felony and money laundering amongst other charges.
They have since pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of N100 million and N30 million respectively.
The DSS had refused to release them on bail even after they met their bail application, forcing Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu to issue a 24-hour order for their release.
Sowore and Bakare were later released on December 5, but the Sahara Reporters publisher was rearrested barely 24 hours after by the DSS.

Femi Fani-Kayode Reveals One Top Secret T.Y Danjuma May Have For Nigerians About Buhari
Femi Fani-Kayode, a social commentator and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suggested that one of the secrets a retired Army General, Theophilus Danjuma may want to reveal to Nigerians is that the man in A*o Rock is not Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, had last year claimed that President Buhari was dead and cloned. He said the man in the Presidential Villa is Jubril al Sudani who, according to him, was impersonating allegedly dead Buhari.
However, in a tweet on Saturday evening, Fani-Kayode wondered if Nnamdi Kanu has been proved right.
He tweeted, “T.Y. Danjuma says if he were to reveal certain things to the public, Nigerians would not be able to sleep. “Is it possible that one of those things is that Buhari is not Buhari but rather Jubril from Sudan? I’m just wondering. Has been proved right? TELL US!”

Buhari: Nigerian Graduates Unemployable Status Worrisome
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has called on the universities in Nigeria to be more proactive in ensuring that their graduates are employable.
He said many Nigerian graduates were being described as unemployable by some employers of labour, saying this was worrisome to his regime.
Buhari stated this at the 31st Convocation of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday.
He was represented by Dr Suleiman Yusuf, the Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC).
According to him, the present regime considered education as the cornerstone of national development with universities as the pinnacle of education, “being the engine of knowledge generation and dissemination.”
He said, “In today’s globalised knowledge economy in which the wealth, strategic importance and ranking of any country in the comity of nations is determined largely by its knowledge economy index, my expectation is that our universities will use the instrumentality of their tripartite mandates of teaching, research and community engagement to launch Nigeria into an enviable position among nations of the world.
“In this regard, government expects Nigerian universities to produce graduates imbued with the requisite knowledge, competencies, attitudes, and skills to be active role players in our quest for socio-economic and technological development.
“I expect universities to pay serious attention to the less than complimentary assessment of the graduates of our universities by employers of labour. Definitely, we can not be comfortable when products of our citadels of learning are being described as ‘unemployable’, exhibiting lack of job-readiness and so on.”
Major General Buhari (retd.) noted that issues of graduate employability and skills are pertinent issues gaining tractions nationally and internationally and are prominent on the front burners of discourse on higher education and the future of work.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Joseph Fuwape, urged the graduating students to remain focused and diligent in order to occupy the prime positions of leadership in the country.

Marriage is a big decision you shouldn't make in your life without much thought and reflection.
Find below these 25 characteristics of the person you are supposed to marry:
Qualities of The Person You Should Marry
1. They respect your beliefs and values.
The person you marry does not necessarily have to agree with you on every topic, but even so it is important to have mutual respect for the core beliefs and values of each other. How could a person you don't respect continue to loved?
2. They help you grow as a person.
You should be encouraged by the person you marry to evolve into a better version of yourself. That doesn't mean they should be insulting you or telling you that you're not "good enough," because positive transformation can't happen without full acceptance of who you are; but your partner should be challenging you to step up your game in every aspect of your life.
3. They trust you, and you trust them.
The person you marry is not supposed to snoop through your phone, private messages, or browsing history. If they're concerned about a particular issue, they're supposed to confront you without mincing words or sneaking behind your back.
4. They love all of you (even the flawed parts).
The person you marry should actually be in love with you—not their idea of who they think you should be. If they can't accept you without trying to mold you into someone else, you'd be wise to look elsewhere for love.
5. They make you chuckle or have giggle fits.
You should feel happy and fulfilled by the person you marry, not sad and stuck. You should be able to smile at each other for no good reason (other than the fact that you’re so happy to be together), and you both should have inside jokes that no one else in your social circle “understands.”
6. They are okay with the occasional night in.
The person you marry is entitled to expect the occasional date night, road-trip, vacation, or adventure of their choice; however, they shouldn’t feel like you always have to do something in order to enjoy your time together. They should be perfectly happy to snuggle in bed with you and enjoy together a rare moment of silence, with nothing but the feeling of peace and happiness that comes with being wrapped in your arms.
7. They make time together a priority.
The person you marry needs to make out time for you, because without proper care and attention, even the best relationship can not survive.
8. They have a life outside of your relationship.
Because you have hopes and dreams beyond the reach of your marriage, the person you marry should not expect you to spend every waking moment with them. And besides, two people can only spend so much time together before they get fed up with each other, so a little space is going to be good for you both.
9. They express why they appreciate you.
The person you are marrying should point out why they love you, how they feel about you, and what physical qualities they find attractive, pretty, sexy, or warm about you. Without the occasional compliment, it's easy to feel your partner doesn't care, so make sure they really understand the role you're playing in their life story.
10. They are willing to make compromises.
The person you marry isn't supposed to be a weak-willed pushover who bends to every whim, but that doesn't mean they should be stubborn. Your partner should be willing to talk through every specific issue with you and make a compromise that may not be exactly what either of you wants, but is fair to both of you.
11. They respect your mom and dad.
The person you marry doesn't have to enjoy spending time with your family, but during the holidays and special occasions that are significant to you, they should still have enough respect to do so without complaint.
12. They inspire your trust.
The person you are marrying should be a person you trust so much that you believe you could disclose anything to them. If you feel like you must hide things about your past or personality, this might be an indication that you're dating the wrong person.
13. They can admit their shortcomings.
The person you marry doesn't need to be perfect, but when they're wrong, they should be truthful enough to admit it. It's all right to make a mistake as long as it is followed by a sincere apology and honest explanation. But if your partner avoids any confrontation, disputes any shortcomings and is reluctant to apologize, you may want to leave the ship unless it sounds like fun to face a relentless storm of marital strife.
14. They captivate your interest.
You should be fascinated by the person you marry in the same way a really good film does; no matter how many times you watch it, you still enjoy the experience, and with each additional viewing you always seem to find something different. If they are unable to maintain your long-haul interest then there is no way you can expect long-lasting success in the relationship.
15. They share your vision for the future.
The person you are marrying doesn't have to be on the very same path of life as you are, but your paths should intersect in enough ways to reach your final destination together. In other words: if your partner wants to travel abroad, but you are too scared to even get into the plane, you may have a problem.
16. They give without expectation of anything in return.
The person you marry should be selfless enough to surprise you with the occasional little act of kindness, without expecting anything in return. If you've ever been on a date with a man (or woman) who was planning to "get laid" just because they've taken you to a fancy restaurant, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Nothing is more annoying than people who don't give gifts to be nice, but with a predetermined result on their mind.
17. They don’t constantly try to “one-up” you.
The person you marry is entitled to perform a touchdown dance if they win a poker match or board game, but living your life as if every single moment is a contest with another person is a bit lame.
18. They can be with you in the present moment.
The person you are marrying should be able to enjoy a romantic dinner or car ride with you without having to check their phone every seconds. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with someone who is unable to understand the simple act of staring into your eyes, basking in your presence and loving the silence? I don't think so.
19. They turn you on (and vice versa).
The person you are marrying needs to feel magnetically attracted to you; likewise, sometimes you should catch your thoughts drifting away to a naughty place where you find yourself trying to take off their clothes so badly that it hurts. Looks aren't all, but show me a person who says physical attraction is absolutely unimportant, and I'm going to show you a person who is delusional and out of touch with reality. I feel the need to explain that I’m not saying any “look” is inherently better than any other. I happen to be friends with many gorgeous women of any body-type you can imagine; curvy, muscular slim, fit, somewhere in between? It's not important. The same goes to you, fellas, too. I can't speak for everybody, but there are three things that turn me on more than looks ever could: sharp wit, confidence, and the ability to make me think.
20. They are willing to confront their demons.
The person you are marrying may have some skeletons in their wardrobe, and that's all right. I would never advise you not to marry a person just because they suffer from alcoholism or thoughts of su***de, but it's a different story to be unwilling to confront those obstacles.
21. They don’t let feelings fester inside.
The person you marry should not hide their most vivid thoughts and feelings behind a veil of secrecy. They should be willing to speak when they are disturbed by something, so that together as a team you can tackle the issue. Troubles that are held in have a way of intensifying, so you probably wouldn't want to marry a person who sets up a barrier that cannot be obstructed.
22. They remain faithful to you.
The person you marry must be loyal to you and to you alone (unless both of you agree otherwise). If you want to get frisky in bed with other invited guests, I'm not here to judge you, but it's very important that you and your partner are both on the same page; otherwise, adultery is a inconsiderate and thoughtless act that is unforgivable in many's eyes. I usually ask people to forgive their partners, but that's one area where you might just want to give a single chance to a person, and I can't say I'd blame you for that.
23. They aren’t resistant to change.
The person you marry shouldn’t resist change vehemently. Often life presents us with open doors of opportunity that might lead to a new job, a new house, a new hometown, etc. If you love improvising based on the contents of the hand you're dealt, no matter where it might take you, then you shouldn't settle down with a rigid partner who is so afraid of change that they won't even talk to you about it.
24. They exercise personal responsibility.
The person you are marrying should carry themselves as a responsible adult, not as an irresponsible teenager. While life is meant to be fun, it should not be like a 24/7 shopping spree. If your partner gets trapped in debt, or delays payment after payment, or is unemployed and doesn't seem to care, his or her financial woes will become a constant source of stress when you tie the knot. You may have to find out the opinions of your potential spouse on financial matters before you even think about getting married to them.
25. They love you here, now, today, as you are.
The person you marry must never make you feel inferior, unaccepted, or not "good enough." Yeah of course, they should encourage you to improve yourself, but by building you up (not tearing you down). If they can't love you, even the weird, uncomfortable, and weak parts— then they're not worthy of you.
Important Note
Of course, marriage is not for everyone, so never feel like you've got to get engaged just because "society has said that." Tons of happy couples have flourished without a marriage license. Don't, if you don't want to get married. This is your life, so without apology do your thing.
Different people are attracted to different things, so feel free to post a comment and tell us what you think the qualities of the person you are supposed to marry. Please share this article with your friends on Facebook and Twitter if you enjoyed it.
