Hon. Kasim Ikwa, Hon. Nyesom Wike, our FCT Minister, and our distinguished Senator, we cry out in pain. Our village suffers—no clean water, no hospital, no school. Our children are fading, our future slipping away. Please hear our plea and act now. Give us hope, dignity, and a chance to live.

Forgotten for 50 Years: A Community’s Cry for Survival in the Nation’s Capital
By Abraham Barau Mamman
In the heart of Gwagwalada Area Council lies Dadabiyi, a community defined not by progress, but by decades of neglect. For over 50 years, residents have lived without clean water, electricity, functional healthcare, or accessible roads. The abandoned 23-kilometre Dobi–Dadabiyi road stands as a symbol of broken promises, cutting people off from hospitals, markets, and opportunities.
Despite its strategic importance, Dadabiyi remains overlooked. Its people vote in every election, holding onto hope, yet receive nothing in return—no representation, no development, no voice.
This is not just neglect; it is a question of humanity. Are these citizens not entitled to life, dignity, and basic rights as indigenous people of the FCT?
This is a direct appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike: intervene now. Save lives. Restore hope. Construction has come to a standstill, and the road remains in terrible condition.
During the dry season, dust fills the air and makes movement uncomfortable and unsafe. When it rains, the muddy road becomes almost impassable, preventing vehicles from moving at all. The bridge project has been abandoned halfway, worsening the situation.
As a result, transporting farm produce to the market has become extremely difficult, leading to delays, losses, and increased hardship for the people. This situation is affecting daily life, limiting access to essential services, and slowing down economic activities in the community. Urgent attention is needed to complete these projects and restore safe and reliable transportation.

THE NAME YOU KEEP HEARING… HERE’S THE TRUTH BEHIND VDM
They always ask me… “Why VDM?”
Truth is… it didn’t start as a brand. It started as a reaction.
A reaction to things I saw and couldn’t ignore. A reaction to silence where there should’ve been outrage. A reaction to people suffering while others looked away.
There was a time I felt unheard… like my voice didn’t matter. But then I realized—silence helps no one except those doing wrong.
“VDM” came from that moment.
It means voice.
It means daring.
It means movement.
And then cases like Blord reminded me why this matters.
Situations where narratives are controlled, where truth feels buried under influence, where people don’t know what to believe anymore… that’s exactly why VDM exists.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because I’m willing to ask the hard questions.
I’m human. I get tired. I doubt myself. Sometimes I even wonder if it’s worth it. But then I remember—if nobody speaks, nothing changes.
So when you hear “VDM,” don’t just hear a name.
Hear someone choosing not to be silent.
Hear someone standing in uncomfortable spaces.
Hear someone who refuses to look away when things don’t add up.
This is bigger than me.
It’s about truth.
It’s about people.
It’s about courage.
That’s VDM.

WE ARE STILL HERE: DADABIYI’S QUIET STRUGGLE FOR RECOGNITION AND A BETTER LIFE”
By Comrade Abraham Barau Mamman
(Dadabiyi)
For a long time, the people of Dadabiyi community under Dobi Zone in Gwagwalada Area Council have felt forgotten.
Every day, our children walk difficult paths, our elderly mothers endure hardship, and nursing mothers struggle without basic support. As indigenous Gbagyiza people of the FCT, we continue to ask a simple question: when will we truly be seen and included?
Dadabiyi is more than just a village. It is a community that quietly plays its role in protecting and supporting the Federal Capital Territory. When a part of the system is neglected, it affects the whole—just like a house with a weak back door.
Ignoring Dadabiyi today may create bigger problems tomorrow.
We respectfully call on, Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike to remember us.
* The 23km Dobi–Dadabiyi road needs urgent attention. and a voice in leadership.
Communities like Dadabiyi, Paikon Kore, Tungan Sarki, Gidan Dogo, Dobi, and nearby villages deserve roads, healthcare, schools,
We are part of the FCT. We belong here. All we ask is to feel it—not just during elections, but every day.

We appreciate Nyesom Wike for strengthening our traditional institutions in the Federal Capital Territory. Yet, true progress lies in fair representation—more senatorial districts, House seats, and councils.
Give FCT residents a stronger voice, deeper inclusion, and governance that truly reflects their hopes, dignity, and future aspirations.
Selective JUSTICE anywhere is INJUSTICE

A CALL FOR GOD-FEARING, PEACEFUL, AND INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP
By Comrade Abraham Barau Mamman Dadabili
I call on the candidate to remain God-fearing and people-centered throughout this political journey. Leadership is a trust from God, and the process must be guided by humility, conscience, and respect for human life.
Let peace be allowed before, during, and after the process. No ambition is worth chaos. No election is wo # bloodshed. Our communities deserve calm, safety, and security, not fear and division.
I strongly advocate for peace and security across Gwagwalada and the entire FCT, and for the full inclusion of indigenous FCT youths—the sons and daughters of the soil who have been sidelined for too long. Their voices must be heard, their energy engaged, and their future protected.
True leadership unites, not divides. It carries everyone along—elders, women, youths, and especially our indigenous communities.
May God guide this process, protect our people, and raise leaders who fear Him and genuinely serve the people.
In solidarity for peace, unity, and inclusion.
Comrade Abraham Barau Mamman Dadabili
