Tax reforms should strengthen businesses not stifle them.

The Abuja Chamber Of Commerce And Industry - ACCI, through its National Chamber Policy Centre, convened a high-level roundtable on Nigeria’s ongoing tax reforms, bringing together key stakeholders from government, the organised private sector, taxation bodies, and the business community.

The dialogue, themed “Tax Reality: Ripple Effects on Industry and Commerce,” provided a platform for robust discussions on the implications of the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 and related reform legislation, with a focus on creating a balanced, transparent, and business-friendly tax environment.

Stakeholders emphasized the need for tax policies that promote enterprise growth, attract investment, support industrialization, and create jobs, while addressing the realities facing businesses; especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The engagement reinforced the importance of continuous collaboration between government and the private sector to ensure tax reforms achieve their intended objectives without undermining business sustainability.

At ACCI, we remain committed to championing policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and constructive economic dialogue that drives national development and economic resilience.
