The African Democratic Congress (ADC) successfully held its State Congress today at the ADC State Party Secretariat in Taraba State.

The Chairman of the ADC Transition Committee in Taraba State, Sen. Abubakar Tutare, joined other prominent party leaders and stakeholders during the congress, which also featured the inauguration of the newly elected State Executive Committee (EXCO).

The congress was conducted through a consensus process, which received full acceptance and support from party members.

This demonstrated unity, trust, and confidence in the newly elected leadership of the party.

In his address, Sen. Abubakar Tutare expressed his appreciation to party leaders and members for their cooperation and commitment, which ensured a peaceful and successful congress. He encouraged members to remain dedicated and continue working tirelessly to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He congratulated the newly inaugurated State EXCO and urged them to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and a strong commitment to the progress of the party.

Sen. Tutare also appealed to aspirants who were not successful in securing positions to remain calm and loyal, assuring them that their contributions are valued and that the party will not leave them behind.

He concluded by encouraging supporters and stakeholders to remain steadfast, expressing confidence that with continued unity and support, the ADC will emerge victorious in 2027 and form a government that will serve the best interests of the people of Taraba State and Nigeria at large.

ADC CONGRESSES: Anambra ADC holds successful state congress, elects Chris Nwosu as State Chairman

Despite the leadership crisis rocking the African Democratic Congress, ADC, at the national level, its Anambra State chapter has elected Chris McCool Nwosu as its chairman in the state.

Nwosu, a journalist, media personality and publisher of Courage Magazine was elected through a consensus congress, which was affirmed by all delegates of the party who converged on Awka, the Anambra State capital.

The party had initially moved three motions before the commencement of the election and they included a motion for the dissolution of the former state executive, a motion to adopt the outcome of the ward and local government congresses held on Friday and another for the adoption of a consensus method of election.

Nwosu was announced the state chairman, alongside 35 other members, who now constitute the state executive of the party, and were sworn in immediately.

The newly elected chairman, Nwosu, in his inaugural address promised to ensure cohesion in the party, while urging members to ensure loyalty and steadfastness.

The congress was organized by members of the ADC State Congress Committee from Abuja, led by the Chairman, Amb. Fidel Ayogu, with Queen Nkechi Okiyi as Secretary and Godson Okoye as a member.
