Responding through his lawyer, Chief Austin stated that the case is not a case of fr∆ud but a f∆iled bus!πess tr∆nsact!on.

Base on the press release from Chief Austin lawyer, explained that Ifeanyi Udezu showed interest to buy one of their properties in Abuja and later proposed a time frame within which to pay for the land, contrary to an initial one off payment agreement.

According to him, Udezu made an initial payment but couldn't complete payment of the agreed price on schedule, it took him about one year before he indicated interest to pay the balance, by then he was informed that the value of the property had appreciated and so he can't pay the old price

Udezue was given the option to either pay the current price for the property, accept buildings in a proposed estate in the Land, or get a refund of his money. According to him, Udezue rushed to pay the balance of the old price and added extra 50million without an approval, conclusion or agreement with him on that. Udezue was informed that the money he paid is not appropriate for the property and that was when he opted for a complete refund.

In Chief Austin's claim, his company is trying to raise the money for his refund before Udezue started reporting the case to prominent people close to him and even the EFCC and Nigerian Police Force which didn't yield any result until the matter get to Verydarkman. He refuted the
