I am a primary care Optometrist, this makes me a specialist in my field. I am a fellow of the NIGERIAN POSTGRADUATE COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRISTS.
WORLD SIGHT DAY - This comes up the second Thursday of every year. World sight day 2025 is, therefore, on the 9th of October 2025.
The theme is LOVE YOUR EYES.
You love your eyes by going for regular eye checks, obey instructions from eyecare professionals, and seek help early.

Who is an Optometrist?
An Optometrist is a primary eye care practitioner ,trained in diagnosis and management of eye diseases, correction of vision.
Correction of vision include correction of refractive errors and low vision.
The correction of vision could be by glasses, contact lenses , vision aids and laser.
An Optometrist also makes referrals when necessary.
