TREAT AS URGENT
*Please Be Careful, Ignorance Is Not An Excuse*.
Empty bottles of water and cans used by patients in hospitals are being packed by the cleaners while they clean the environment.
In the course of discarding the empty bottles of water and cans from a discharged patient, an attendant discovered that one of the kegs had saliva inside, meaning the patient was salivating into one of the bottles. This patient had tuberculosis(TB).
This also is applicable to other hospitals around the country. Some patients even urinate inside the containers. These patients may have HIV, Hepatitis and other infectious diseases.
Now my worry is, the women who pack these empty bottles of water and cans do sell them to people who make Zobo, Tiger nut drinks, Kunu etc. Victims buy and consume it unaware of the sources of the containers.
A consumer buys #50 or probably #100 worth of drink with his or her own money and ends up having a life threatening disease or even an ailment that could take his or her life if not well treated, out of carelessness.
The cycle keeps going. Let's be guided.
Even bottled groundnut is not exempted.
Please let's be very careful with these kind of things. You mean a lot to me and I won't like you to fall a victim.
This message is for everyone.
Your health is in your hands.

BSES GM Backs Ado Grammar School Alumni’s Ambitious Plans
The Ado Grammar School 2005 Alumni set has ramped up its advocacy efforts, seeking broader support for their initiatives aimed at enriching the educational experience of students and staff. In a significant move, the alumni group, led by President Mr. Olabode Wilson Rawa, engaged with Mr. Olu Popoola, the General Manager of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES) and Ekiti Radio, to secure media backing for their community-driven projects.
Recognizing the powerful role of media in amplifying their outreach, the alumni sought Mr. Popoola's endorsement and coverage for their upcoming activities. This includes the much-anticipated foundation laying for a state-of-the-art hall at the school's premises—a project awaiting final approval from the school's administration. Mr. Rawa detailed the group’s impressive achievements over the past three years, such as distributing free JAMB forms, establishing a cooperative thrift society for members and staff, and planning for the modern hall that will serve as a versatile facility for the school and the wider Ado community.
In his response, Mr. Popoola commended the alumni for their proactive approach and assured them of the station’s full support. "BSES is committed to promoting initiatives that contribute positively to our community. We are ready to collaborate with the alumni to spotlight their noble efforts and encourage other groups to follow suit," he stated. Mr. Popoola also suggested featuring the alumni on BSES’s flagship programs to further their outreach and impact.
Additionally, Mr. Popoola encouraged the alumni to incorporate entrepreneurial training and career guidance into their activities. He stressed the importance of preparing students for practical, in-demand fields that align with the nation's future needs. "Students should be guided towards courses that are relevant and can lead to meaningful employment opportunities. This is crucial for their long-term success," he advised.
Expressing his satisfaction with the alumni’s leadership and direction, Mr. Popoola praised the professional achievements of the group's executive members, noting their roles as employers of labor. He affirmed that under the capable presidency of Mr. Olabode Wilson Rawa, the alumni association is well-positioned to make a lasting impact.
As the meeting concluded, Mr. Popoola reaffirmed BSES's commitment to providing comprehensive media coverage for the alumni’s initiatives, thus paving the way for greater community engagement and support for Ado Grammar School's future endeavors.
