Good morning, Ekiti Kete!
Last week, we played host to the International Labour Organization (ILO) technical team. ILO will be supporting Ekiti State with the maintenance of 200km roads across the State.
It is on record that the State Government under the visionary leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji has constructed several roads which require maintenance to ensure their durability.
So far, the Oyebanji-led administration has supported the construction of 18 rural roads, 11 of which have now been completed under the RAAMP initiative. These are aside the several Class B (State roads) constructed by the administration - some of which will be maintained under the ILO arrangement.
The good works continue in Ekiti State!

Yesterday, we began a 3-day RAAMP/ International Labour Organization (ILO) Technical Support Mission at Ekiti RAAMP.
The aim of the Mission is to provide technical support for Ekiti RAAMP on the maintenance of our rural roads.
At the Mission, the Training and Road Maintenance Technical Officer of ILO, Arun Kumar Yadav said ILO would maintain 200km of rural roads in Ekiti State between 2026 and 2029. The programme would provide skills and employment opportunities for Ekiti people, particularly women and youth under the Road Maintenance Groups (RMG) arrangement.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr Ebenezer Boluwade said the ILO support programme was a welcomed development as it would help make Ekiti rural roads durable.
The State Project Coordinator of Ekiti RAAMP, Hon. SUNDAY Adunmo also commended ILO for the partnership.
Adunmo praised the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for keying into the RAAMP initiative to construct many rural roads which have been left unattended to for several years.
He said Ekiti RAAMP is constructing 18 roads totalling 132km, out of which 11 roads have been completed.
Chairmen of Community-based Grievance Redress Committees (GRC) commended the initiative, saying that it is making positive impacts in their communities.
