JUNE 17 Life Gems

*OBEDIENCE TRIGGERS GOD’S LOVE*

*Spotlight* : John 8 verse 29 – And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

Desiring love and tender heartedness from God can be pushed to become a reality when you simply obey Him. It is natural to love someone who obeys what you say as a leader at whatever capacity.

God the Most High also extends love unrestrictedly to anyone who obeys Him. Jesus understood the place of obedience and despite the fact that He is the Son of God yet He obeyed God His Father in everything even to the point of dying on the cross (Philippians 2:8). Know this today: no mortal has an excuse not to obey God if Jesus could.

Your obedience to God makes God to love you and put you in charge of things without apology to anyone. Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego proved their obedience to God and God made them top leaders not just in a strange land but in a land they were taken as slaves. Your prayers for God to promote you will get answered easily and faster by knowing the will of God and obeying it.

Let your life on earth be like one running a script from God. Many believers though profess Christ yet live as though they are running a script from the world, the flesh or the devil. When your life so evidently shows God’s word is what you profess and do, God can go any length to show you His love.

*Word Feast* : 1 John 3 verse 23; Daniel 3 verses 14 – 30 ; Genesis 39 verses 8 – 9; 41 verses 14 – 16,39 – 44.

*Prayer* : Father, I choose this day to obey You wholeheartedly. Help me to live daily as one running a script from You in Jesus name, Amen.

*Action point* : Let your life clearly show that God's word is what you live by.

*Drill* : What can make God to go any length to show you His love?

*Bible in one year* : 2 Chronicles 7 -8; 2 Corinthians 11.

*HERE ARE SEVEN IMPORTANT HOME DEFENSES*

_We can also benefit from these important homemaking to ensure peace and good health in our marriage; here are the important tips:_

1. *Responsibility* should be our watchword; never delegate responsibility.

2. *Obedience to the Holy Spirit* is the key to every house; Holy Spirit has the best experience and knows our spouse better than we can explain.

3. *Understandings* are the cements that hold the blocks/bricks of the house together; when you understand your spouse, the argument will not last long.

4. *Identifying Satan as an enemy* of the home rather than a partner is the fence; if a fence is present in a house, thieves will find it difficult to pe*****te. Satan looks for every opportunity to steal your blessings, but when you recognize that he is at work, you will not see your partner doing the wrong thing... instead, face Satan as your enemy (in prayer), not your partner.

5. *Prayer* is the strength within the couple: a local chicken is more powerful than four broilers in your home. Build your spiritual stamina through prayer; rather than complaining, take everything to God; prayer saves a lot and reveals what does not exist.

6. *Words of God* is a protein-rich food for growth: it is not healthy to be thin in spirit but fat in body. Remember: 1. Men shall not live by bread alone; 2. One thing is necessary, and Mary has chosen the good part (Luke.10:42); you cannot live solely on food; the word of God is more important than your food; eat as much as you can...

7. *Pursuit of peace* is the roof of your home: Any house or building without a roof is vulnerable to rain and sun. Allow peace to rain in your heart for everyone, especially your immediate family, and create love and unity in that home; charity is said to begin at home.

If these seven important points are carefully considered in every home, it will undoubtedly be referred to as a Christian home full of grace and power.

Giving out this advice brings me joy; let us continue to work with the Holy Spirit to make our home a lovely one where God dwells.
