The people of Ifiteani Village, Agulu over the weekend trooped out enmass to attend the official commissioning of Grand Swiss Hotel, located in Ifiteani Village, Agulu, a 5 Star premier Hotel built by an illustrous son of Agulu who hails from Ifiteani Village, Chief Romanus Ugochukwu Orji (Ikeoha Anaocha)

While Commissioning the multi billion naira Hotel, The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, in his remarks hailed GRANDSWISS HOTEL AGULU as the premier hotel in the State for both quality and capacity. He praised Chief Ugochukwu for his significant contribution to Anambra and urged more individuals from the community to emulate his efforts.

The Chairman of Ifiteani Village Administration, Mr Patrick Ogbunachi who led other members of the village Executive to attend the epoch-making while speaking to Ifiteani Media Team reporter at the event praised Chief Ugochukwu Orji for siting such premier hotel in Ifiteani which he said will no doubt take the village to the world map and also create employment opportunities for unemployed Youths of Ifiteani. He discribed Grand Swiss as hotel to reckon with, he said that Ndi Ifiteani are happy and proud to play host to such Hospitality ediface.

Chief Ugochukwu Orji while speaking thanked all that came to witness the epoch-making event and to rejoice with him at the commissioning, he reiterated his believe in Aku luo Uno initiative.

The event was attended by important personalities from within and outside Agulu.

*_Dissolution of the elected Executive of APU and Appointment of Caretaker Committee by Anambra State_ _Govt_*

_9th Jan.,_ _2021_

The Ifiteani Village Administration has received with dismay and disappointment the unfortunate news about the dissolution of Agulu People's Union Nig newly elected Executive headed by Chief Oliver Afamefuna which was elected on 30th Dec. 2020 in accordance with the constitution of APU.

The dissolution of the elected APU Executive and Appointment of three man caretaker Committee by Anambra State Govt is very unfortunate and highly condenmnable. The election that produced the Central Exco of APU was free, fair, credible and peaceful and was ajudged as one of the best general election of APU over the years. One wonders why the State govt took a decision of dissolving the elected Exco and replacing them with a caretaker Committee against the will of Agulu people.

Ifiteani village Administration and Ifiteani village whose delegates also participated in the election is not support of the dissolution of the Elected Exco and appointment of the caretaker Committee. However, the Administration is calling on the people of Ifiteani to remain calm and law abiding as the administration is in touch with the stakeholders of APU and other villages over the unfortunate development and will communicate the people of Ifiteani accordingly as the events unfolds.

The Administration will convene a meeting to discuss the issue in due time if need be. Ifiteani will always remain on the path of truth, peace and progress of APU and will not involve in any plan to truncate the peace and progress of Agulu People's Union, Nigeria.
