Celebrating My Rock, My Love, and Our Visionary Chairman: Happy Birthday, Hon. Solomon Abuba

Today, April 10, 2026, my heart overflows with gratitude and joy as I celebrate the birthday of my beloved husband, Hon. Solomon Abuba , the Executive Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area.

As your wife and the First Lady of Ahoada East, I stand in awe of the visionary leader and devoted servant of the people you are. Through your tireless dedication, wise governance, and genuine love for our community, you have brought progress, hope, and lasting impact to every ward and every family in Ahoada East. You lead not for acclaim, but with humility and a deep sense of purpose — always putting our people first.

You are more than a leader; you are my rock, my partner, and the loving pillar of strength in our home. Your quiet sacrifices, your unwavering faith, and the way you nurture our family while serving our larger family — the people of Ahoada East — continue to inspire me every single day. Together, we walk this journey of service, bound by love, shared values, and an unshakeable commitment to a brighter future for our children and our community.

On this special day, I join the good people of Ahoada East in celebrating you. May the Almighty God grant you abundant wisdom, divine health, fresh strength, and greater victories in the years ahead. May your light continue to shine as a beacon of excellence, integrity, and compassion for our land.

Nothing touches the soul quite like watching family begin their forever...
Last Saturday, April 4th, my heart overflowed with pure joy as I witnessed the beautiful traditional marriage of my dear brother-in-law Victor Abuba and his radiant bride, Chinenye Okonkwo, right here in Port Harcourt.

It was an atmosphere of pure bliss and celebration — vibrant wrappers, rhythmic drums, laughter that echoed through the air, and a deep sense of love, unity, and cultural pride that filled every corner. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was a celebration of commitment, family, and the beautiful threads that hold our community together.

As First Lady of Ahoada East LGA, moments like these remind me why service feels so personal. These events aren’t just ceremonies — they strengthen our roots, bring us closer as one family, and show the younger ones what true love and togetherness look like.

Victor and Chinenye, may your home overflow with laughter, peace, unbreakable support, and a love that grows sweeter every single day.

Now tell me… what’s the most memorable tradition from a wedding you’ve attended? Or what does “family” mean to you? Drop your thoughts below — I’m reading every single one.

If this story warmed your heart, please like, share, and follow for more real moments from our community. Let’s keep celebrating love and unity together.

Today, remember, your resourcefulness isn't about doing more—it's about gently noticing what you already have inside.
A little creativity, a kind thought, a quiet pause… that's enough.
You're blooming right where you are

HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY

My beloved mothers, grandmothers, aunties, spiritual mothers, and every woman who pours love, strength, and grace into our lives in Ahoada East LGA,

Warm greetings and abundant joy to you on this special Mothering Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Today, the angelic proclamation to Mary echoes powerfully over every woman in our cherished communities—from Ahoada town to Abarikpo, Abissa, Ogbo, Ihuowo, Ula-Upata, and all our wards: "You are highly favoured. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women."

You are the highly favoured and blessed woman.

Like Mary, you have been divinely selected to carry purpose, nurture life, shape destinies, and reflect God's favour in extraordinary ways. Your daily acts of love—rising at dawn to pray over your households, preparing meals with care, comforting the weary, guiding children in the fear of the Lord, supporting families through trials, and contributing to the peace and progress of Ahoada East—are marked by heaven's favour. The Lord is indeed with you, turning ordinary moments into eternal impact and multiplying your efforts with supernatural grace.

Your favour opens unexpected doors of provision, promotion, and breakthrough for you and your loved ones.

The presence of the Lord shields you with protection, fills you with unshakable peace, and surrounds your home with joy.

You walk in abundant blessings—sound health, fruitful labour, wise and godly children who rise to honour you, harmonious families, and overflowing goodness in every area of life.

Your spiritual womb births revivals in homes, healings in communities, and hope for our generation and the next.

To every mother across Ahoada East: You are not forgotten. Your sacrifices are seen. Your prayers are powerful. Your love is legendary. Today, we rise to call you blessed—just as Scripture declares.

Happy Mothering Sunday 2026, dear highly favoured and blessed women of Ahoada East.

You are treasured, celebrated, and deeply loved.

With prayers, gratitude, and warmest embraces,

Dear beloved women of Ahoada East, distinguished guests, and supporters of women's empowerment.

What an eventful day it has been as we gathered to celebrate International Women's Day under the powerful theme "Give to Gain"

Today, we came together to explore how we can train, equip, and empower our women with practical skills, transforming them into valuable assets for our families, communities, and society at large. Over 200 incredible women participated in hands-on training sessions on soap making, custard making and various snacks production — skills that can spark businesses, create income and build independence.

Our keynote speaker, MG Dorothy Nwaogwu, delivered a message straight from the heart. She urged every woman to give by investing in herself, give by investing in her children, and give by investing in others. She reminded us that every opportunity shared becomes a blessing multiplied — celebrate with those who celebrate, rejoice with those who rejoice, and in the end, it is a win-win for all. Truly, by giving we gain.

Our second guest speaker, Ms Fortune Ile, a seasoned agriculturist, captivated the audience with innovative farming methods to boost yields and shared profitable cash crops that women can venture into for sustainable income and economic growth.

In the spirit of "Give to Gain," I had the profound joy of empowering 17 deserving women with startup capital today. My prayer is that by next year's International Women's Day celebration, we will gather to hear beautiful testimonies of growth, success, and multiplied blessings from these seeds sown today.

To every woman here and beyond: You are strong, capable and unstoppable. Continue to give — of your time, knowledge, love and resources and watch how it returns to you in abundance.

Thank you to all who made this event possible. Together, we gain by giving.

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” — Exodus 20:12 (KJV)

Last Friday, March 6th, I had the profound privilege of joining the beautiful family of Obua, Opuwari, and Imo to celebrate and bid farewell to their beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — Mrs. Felicia Obua Olayinka (Mama Felicia, Miss Imo, Ada Jeremiah, Madam).

In our African tradition and particularly within the bonds of our extended kinship, the passing of such a pillar is not merely a family affair but a communal milestone. Mama’s long sojourn among us was marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, selfless devotion to family unity and an enduring spirit of generosity that touched many lives beyond our immediate circle. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren — scattered yet united in purpose — continue to bear the fruits of her nurturing hand, upholding the values of integrity, hard work, and reverence for God that she instilled so deeply.

Mama went home at the remarkable age of 104 — truly a life well lived, full of grace, wisdom, love, and legacy. She exemplified what it means to live long and leave a lasting impact, and her family honoured her beautifully through this glorious exit.

Seeing generations come together to celebrate her life reminded me once again of God's promise: when we honour our parents, it brings blessing, longevity, and peace. Mama's long, fruitful years stand as a living testimony to that truth.

Rest in perfect peace, Mama Felicia. Her light continues to shine through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
