A fatal road accident has just occurred in front of the VIO Office along Fiwasaye/Agbogbo Road, Akure, reportedly claiming two lives.
Eyewitness reports indicate that the incident involved a car and a tipper truck allegedly suffering brake failure, which rammed into motorcycles carrying passengers.
Some witnesses further alleged that the crash may have been worsened by heavy traffic congestion caused by stopped vehicles along the route.
🚔 Immediate emergency response and security presence are urgently needed at the scene.
Motorists and residents around the area are advised to exercise caution and avoid the route where possible.

Police authorities in Rivers State have arrested three suspects, including a herbalist, in connection with the brutal murder and beheading of a nine-year-old schoolboy, identified as Destiny Peter, in what authorities suspect to be a ritual killing.
The incident, which has sparked outrage in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state, adds to growing concerns over rising insecurity and ritual-related crimes in the state.
