Tomorrow, 30th August 2025, marks the 4th remembrance of our beloved father, king, historian, and great icon, the late Dr. HRH Oyekanmi Mathew Ogedengbe IV, the Obanla of Ilesha land (2004-2021).
Dr Mathew was the Grand Son Of Late Obanla of Ijesha-Land Orisaiyibi Ogedengbe 1, Son of Obanla of Ijesha-land Ogunmoyesin Paul Ogedengbe 11 and Grandson of HRM Owa Ataiyero ti Ile Ijesha of 1901.
We continue to celebrate his remarkable legacy, the lives he touched, and the great impact he made during his lifetime. His memory lives on in our hearts forever. 💙👑

Bullying the dead
It has come to our attention that a person named Sola Ajayi on Facebook (attached is his page and threats)
As been going around fabricating lies and insulting the Late Ogedengbe Obanla of Ijeshaland IV through his social media platform.
The late Obanla of Ijeshaland was a man of integrity who never cheated, oppressed, or take from others. A man and king of people's hearts.
It has been confirmed that the so-called man Sola Ajayi and his grandfather claimed the legal Chieftancy land of the royal stool of Obanla and decided to steal & claim more land area at the reign of Obanla Ogedengbe IV. The case was taken to court for the law to have its course.
Unfortunately, we heard the loss of our great Obanla. There had been a threat to Obanla Ogedengbe's life by the same family of Sola Ajayi, Jebutu family and his accompanist.
We want the public to know that the Dr Mathew Ogedengbe Obanla of Ijeshaland never had anything against this man, and we are proud of the impact Baba has made in Ijeshaland.
He has made history, changed lives, helped many get jobs, and given the poor from the little he had even after being cheated upon of his salary for 17years. He rescued many from oppression and has been detained for standing for the truth, and defending people who were oppressed by the oppressors of the land.
No man has the power to take life. Any man rejoicing over the death of a good and kind-hearted man should have their character questioned.

We will encourage all lovers of truth to be patient, as we know that God can never be mocked. The truth shall prevail.

It is true that the good tree never last in the forest. Baba will be burried Dec 4th.

I thank God for another year. It's been God all the way. Today Jan 1st, I add another year, all glory to God Almighty for his mercies
I am also using this medium to wish all Ogedengbe sons and daugthers, all Ijesha and all omo Odua all iver the world a happy new year.
