Ebonyi Women Entrepreneurs Praise the State Government for their support in growing SME's.

Association of Women Entrepreneurs (ASSOWE) paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Chief Mrs Ugo Nnachi. The women Entrepreneurs led by their Team Leader Mrs. Chinagorom Okereke expressed their gratitude for various Empowerment Initiatives put in place by the State Government to support Small and Medium Enterprises and promised to partner with the state Government to grow SME & empower Women Entrepreneurs in the State. She noted that their products are of high quality but needed improvement in their packaging to meet international standard. The Commissioner in her response thanked the women and assured them of Government support as they carry out their businesses in the State. Items on display include Odourless fufu, Bean flour, Plantain flour, Knitted Sandals, Cocoyam flour, Beads, Wigs, Soya milk etc. With this development, materials for the International market and the Mall will benefit from the women initiative.

In her bid to make Ebonyi State the Commercial hub of the South East, the Ground breaking ceremony of the Margaret Umahi International Market was done by a Renowned business Mogul, Philanthropist and the Chancellor of Ebonyi State University, Engr Prince Arthur Eze.
It was a grand occasion where Prince Eze eulogised the governor Engr. David Nweze Umahi describing him as a man with great capacity to transform Ebonyi State. The Market which is being remodeled to meet global standards is one of the enduring legacies of the present Administration.
