Yobe State Hospitals Management Board Concludes 5-Day Leadership and Capacity Building Workshop for Secondary Facility Management Teams.

The training aims to boost efficiency in secondary health facilities by strengthening management teams' leadership capabilities, enhancing processes, and improving patient care.

The ES HMB Dr. Abubakar Yerima, urged the participants to put the knowledge and skills acquired during the training into impactful action. He enjoins them to extend the benefits across all departments in their respective facilities, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

Dr. Yerima also expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni for his remarkable commitment to improving healthcare in the state. He applauds the Governor for providing secondary healthcare facilities with much-needed attention and support to ensure qualitative service delivery. In addition, he acknowledged the contributions of the Commissioner of Health and Human Services Dr Muh'd Lawan Gana as instrumental to the success of the workshop and other initiatives.

In their separate remarks, members of the management teams extended heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Secretary and the Yobe State Government for organizing such a transformative initiative. They highlighted the significance of the training in enhancing their leadership capabilities and called for similar opportunities in the future to further strengthen healthcare management across the state.

Yobe State Head of Service Declares Open 5-Day Leadership Training for Specialist And Secondary Facility Management Teams Organised by Hospital Management Board.

The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni, has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing governance and healthcare services in the state. Today, the Yobe State Head of Service, Alh. Tonga Betara, declared open a 5-day training and workshop on leadership and management skills for the management teams of all Specialist and secondary facilities.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Hospital Management Board (HMB) Dr. Abubakar Yerima, highlighted the workshop's mission, which is to bridge leadership gaps and empower facility managers to succeed in delivering effective healthcare services. He added that this initiative represents a unified effort to elevate leadership standards and improve service delivery across the state.

The Hon. Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Muhammed Lawan Gana expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, for his support and dedication to the health sector. He added that the health sector has received the much-needed resources and infrastructure to ensure quality healthcare service delivery. He emphasised the importance of punctuality and active participation during the training, urging attendees to seize this opportunity to enhance their skills and contribute meaningfully to the state's healthcare system.

The Yobe State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara, highlights the significance of leadership as the foundation for progress, stating, Leadership is the bedrock of progress. Through continuous training and capacity building, we can ensure effective governance and quality healthcare services across Yobe State."He further highlighted the remarkable strides made by the state government under Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration, including the employment of skilled personnel and the provision of essential equipment to improve healthcare delivery.

The Special Advisers and Executive Secretaries present collectively applauded the state HMB and the state government in their separate remarks for such a progressive initiative, noting that the workshop represents a vital step toward strengthening leadership, collaboration, and operational excellence in Yobe State's health sector.

More than 105 participants will take part in the workshop sponsored by the Yobe State Government and organized by Hospitals Management Board.
