She encouraged the new executive team to foster unity among members, expand programs that empower entrepreneurs, and develop initiatives that will ensure the association continues to grow in both influence and impact.
In his inaugural address, Chairman Hamza Isa Adamu struck a tone of humility, gratitude, and unflinching resolve. “Leadership is not about position, but about service,” he declared. He pledged that his administration would prioritize transparent governance, regular capacity-building programs, improved access to finance, promotion of local products, and stronger market linkages, all designed to create opportunities, generate jobs, and strengthen small-scale industries in Yobe State. He further promised to build an association that is inclusive, dynamic, and capable of achieving unprecedented growth, stating his vision for a united and vibrant NASSI that will stand as a model for other state chapters across the country.
Observers note that the combination of experienced leadership, strategic focus, and the active support of both government representatives and civil society organizations positions NASSI Yobe State for a new era of prominence. With the guidance of the new executive team, many anticipate a surge in initiatives aimed at empowering entrepreneurs, especially women and youth, fostering innovation, and attracting investment into small-scale industries.
The inauguration, which also featured government officials such as Hon. Muhammad Bazam, Special Adviser to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Grassroots Mobilization, Hon. Abdullahi Bego, Commissioner of Home Affairs (represented by Alh. Abdul Shu’aibu, Permanent Secretary), and Hon. The association’s focus on entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic empowerment, coupled with its new leadership’s commitment to excellence, is expected to catalyze a transformation that will not only benefit its members but also contribute significantly to the state’s development agenda.
As members, dignitaries, and well-wishers applauded the newly inaugurated executives, there was a shared sense of optimism and anticipation. With Hamza Isa Adamu and his team at the helm, NASSI Yobe State is on course to become a formidable force for industrial growth, economic empowerment, and job creation, setting a benchmark for excellence for small-scale industrial associations across Nigeria.
