Every day, millions of individuals rely on plants for their survival, whether it’s through fuelwood, fruits, medicine, or materials for shelter and income. Plants are not just a part of our environment; they are a vital lifeline for countless communities around Yobe State

When we come together to protect our trees and plant new ones, we are not only ensuring the preservation of clean air and water but also nurturing the rich biodiversity that sustains our planet and supporting the economic well-being of thousands of families.

Now is the time for us to unite in our efforts to care for our forests, our environment, and our communities. Remember, when we protect our trees, we are ultimately protecting lives, creating incomes and fostering hope for a better future.

Our goal at the Yobe State Agency for the Great Green Wall is to bring greenery to all areas of Yobe State, reverse land degradation and desertification, enhance food security, and support local communities in adapting to climate change and sustainably utilising their natural resources.

We, therefore, call on all Yobeans to support the mission of the Agency. Thanks to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, for this great initiative.

Today, at the Yobe State House of Assembly Commission, the Agency for the Great Green Wall presented its budget defence by its Director General Engr. Muhammad Wakil Machina, accompanied by the Agency's Focal Person; Hassan Bogocho Anchinai.
