Yesterday was indeed emotional and inspiring for me. I had the privilege of hearing tears- provoking stories from the over 200 students that secured the C-SAF SSCE scholarship on merit. I also saw hopes in their faces and determination in their voices. And I said to myself, as public servants, we must work very hard not to disappoint these children. Every child must be given an opportunity to have a better shot in life. This shouldn't be politics; it is common sense.

*Jubilation as Chimaobi Sam Atu Foundation offers SSCE Scholarship to students*

Chimaobi Sam Atu Foundation today awarded SSCE Scholarship to 237 students from 28 public schools in Enugu North and South Federal Constituency.
The 237 SS3 students were selected purely on merit from the scholarship exam conducted in Nov. 2024.
The President of the Foundation, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu said the scholarship was designed to promote healthy academic culture among students and also to reduce the burden on the shoulders of some parents.

Hon. Atu promised to award another round of scholarship next week to indigent students with special cases who participated in the scholarship but didn't get it on merit.

The Chairman of the Education Board, Dr. Chidiebere Ezinwa said the scholarship was a wake up call for many parents, school management and students.
Highlights of the occasion include a special recognition to the overall best students in the exercise, Okonkwo Ebube, from Uwani Boys secondary school.
Command Day Secondary had the highest number of students with A1.
