A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS. ❤️

Today, I officially handed over the leadership of Isi-Uzo LGA to my successor, Hon. Chief Brendan Emeka Ani.

The transition began with a closed-door meeting where we discussed the affairs of the Council, followed by a guided tour of the Chairman’s Lodge, renovated Headquarters Clinic and our newly constructed Ultra-Modern Secretariat Complex.

I wished him a peaceful and impactful tenure, assuring him of my continued support whenever needed.

To my successor, build on the foundation, take the ball by the horns and do even more for Ndi Isi-Uzo.

My tenure may have ended, but my love for Isi-Uzo remains.

I came to serve. I gave my best. I leave with gratitude.

Isi-Uzo bu Isi.

A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE, RECOGNITION AND REFLECTION

As I bring my tenure as Executive Chairman of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area to an end, I considered it important to honour some of the individuals whose commitment, sacrifices and partnership contributed immensely to the security and progress of our people.

At my valedictory session, I had the privilege of recognising His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, alongside distinguished security chiefs and officers for their contributions to strengthening security in Isi-Uzo.

Security was one of the greatest challenges we inherited, and I am proud that, through the support of the state government and the dedication of our security agencies, we have achieved a safer and more secure Isi-Uzo.

I particularly appreciate Governor Mbah for his support in strengthening security operations and facilitating the establishment of strategic Joint Task Force, military and Special Forces camps across our communities.

Among those honoured were the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Giwa; former GOC, 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Hassan Taiwo Dada; Director, DSS Enugu State Command, Humphrey; and former Garrison Commander, 82 Division, Major General S. J. Dogo.

Others included the DPO, Isi-Uzo LGA, Mbachi Raluchukwu; Commander, JTF Ogbete, Eha-Amufu, Ndukwe Ezekwesirim; and Team Leader, Special Forces, Eha-Amufu, Matthew Danladi.

Their sacrifices and commitment to protecting lives and property deserve our sincere appreciation.

As a council, we supported security operations through logistics, operational vehicles, motorcycles, surveillance equipment and other resources, while strengthening local intelligence gathering.

I am grateful to every security officer, traditional ruler, community leader, stakeholder and resident who stood with us throughout this journey.

As I bow out, my hope is that the incoming administration will sustain these efforts, strengthen the existing partnerships and do even more to protect our people.

I may be leaving office, but the peace, safety and progress of Isi-Uzo will always remain close to my heart.

A GREAT DAY FOR ISI-UZO! - FINISHING STRONG

Yesterday, we made history at the Isi-Uzo Local Government Headquarters, Ikem, with what I am proud to describe as a truly remarkable massive State APC campaign flag-off, with mammoth crowd of stakeholders and party faithfuls.

The massive turnout, energy and solidarity from the good people of Isi-Uzo were overwhelming.

I am deeply grateful.

To our traditional rulers, community leaders, political stakeholders, women, youths, party leaders, supporters and, most importantly, the good people of Isi-Uzo who came out in their numbers — thank you for your love, confidence, solidarity and unwavering support.

Yesterday was more than a campaign event. It was a powerful demonstration of the strength, unity and resilience of our people.

I am particularly grateful for the privilege of serving as the Chairman of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area. From the day I assumed office, I understood that leadership is a responsibility to the people and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. I remain deeply grateful and greatly indebted to our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah for giving me the opportunity and the platform to serve a second time.

Today, as I reflect on our journey, I am proud of the work we have accomplished together across the Local Government.

Through our collective efforts, we have made meaningful interventions in roads and other infrastructure, electricity, education, healthcare, security, youth empowerment, agriculture and community development.

There is certainly more work to be done, but I can say with humility and a clear conscience:

To the good people of Isi-Uzo, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing in the possibility of a better Isi-Uzo.

As my tenure draws to a close, I remain grateful for the memories, the friendships, the security and other challenges overcome and, above all, the opportunity to serve our people.

We came. We served. We delivered. We are finishing strong.

Isi-Uzo remains our home, and its progress will always remain close to my heart; in and out of office.

For us in Isi-Uzo, this recognition is a moment of pride. It is a celebration of a leader whose vision continues to inspire us and whose commitment to transforming Enugu is evident in the lives and communities being touched by his administration.

To the good people of Isi-Uzo, I sincerely thank you for your trust, prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout my tenure. It has been a great honour and privilege to serve you.

This month marks the completion of my tenure, but not the end of my commitment to our people. Leadership is not just a position; it is a responsibility and a call to continue working for the good of our people.

I leave office fulfilled, knowing that I gave my best in the service of Isi-Uzo. Whatever we achieved was made possible by your support and cooperation.

As we turn the page, let us remember that Isi-Uzo is greater than any individual. Let us remain united, peaceful, and committed to the progress of our people.
