This training commences tomorrow - another milestone in the journey of the Ministry of Human Development and Poverty Eradication towards achieving a zero poverty headcount in Enugu State.

Prof. Okoli Resumes Duty as Hon. Commissioner For Human Development and Poverty Eradication.

Professor Bernadette Ekwutosi Okoli on Monday took over the helmsmanship of the operatives of Ministry of Human Development and Poverty Eradication Enugu State.
The newly appointed Commissioner, while expressing her vision of eradicating Poverty to zero level in line with the mandate of His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, challenged the staff to put all hands on deck towards implementing the activities of the Ministry, which she said would be tailored to have real impact on the lives Ndi Enugu.
In her words, Ministry of Human Development and Poverty Eradication is expected to touch the lives of indigents all over the state. She therefore charged the Directors and Heads of Departments with the task of developing a practical and actionable framework of activities towards achieving the objectives of the ministry.
The Commissioner then called for total dedication, team-work, harmony and a positive attitude from the entire staff, stressing that these were needed so that we can attain set goals together.
She thanked the governor for giving her the opportunity to serve her state in the capacity of commissioner.
In response the Deputy Director Admin and Supplies, Mrs Nneka Ugwu welcomed the new commissioner to the office on behalf of all the staff and pledged the unalloyed commitment and support of the entire staff of the ministry to the Honourable commissioner in her efforts towards achieving her new assigned responsibility.
She also thanked the Governor for giving the ministry a female commissioner for the first time.
