Good morning distinguished members of Lapai Local Government Youths in Politics (Apex Group),
We extend our warm greetings and sincere appreciation to every member of this great platform for your commitment, patience, and belief in our shared vision. This message is to formally inform you that the Executive Platform is currently engaging in strategic consultations and planning aimed at reviving, strengthening, and repositioning our activities for greater impact.
As part of this process, reform and restructuring are inevitable and necessary. These steps are not meant to exclude anyone, but rather to build a stronger, more effective, and result-driven organization that truly represents the aspirations of youths across Lapai Local Government.
In view of this, we may call on dedicated, committed, and capacity-driven members from this Apex Group to join the Executive Team, so that together we can effectively pursue and achieve our aims and objectives. This platform belongs to all of us, and collective responsibility is the key to its success.
It is very important to clearly restate that the interest of Lapai Local Government Youths in Politics supersedes all personal, individual, or partisan interests. While we all have our political leanings and affiliations, this organization stands first as a united youth movement with a common goal:
👉 Development,
👉 Growth,
👉 Empowerment, and
👉 Good governance for Lapai Local Government.
As a legitimate and organized youth platform, we reserve the constitutional and moral right to engage, endorse, and campaign for any candidate who is credible, youth-friendly, development-oriented, and genuinely committed to empowering our people and transforming our communities. Such decisions will always be guided by consultation, collective interest, and the overall benefit of Lapai Local Government youths.
Going forward, the platform will be more active and better organized. Members will be regularly updated on our programs, engagements, and activities, and we shall also be more disciplined in managing communications, including the removal of messages that do not align with the objectives and values of the organization. This is to ensure focus, seriousness, and respect for the purpose of this platform.
Let it be clearly known that we will continue to boldly advocate for good governance, policies, and leadership that bring real development, sustainable growth, and opportunities for our youths. We must never allow personal ambitions or interests to overshadow or weaken the collective strength and integrity of this organization.
This is a call for unity, commitment, and renewed energy. The future we desire for Lapai Local Government is achievable, but only if we stand together, speak with one voice, and act with purpose.
Together, we are stronger.
Together, our voice is louder.
Together, we can shape the future of Lapai Local Government.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in this movement.
Comrade Kabiru Aliyu Pelemi,

Lapai Local Government: Leading the Way in Political Progress and Youth Inclusion
Lapai Local Government has always been a pioneer in political leadership and strategic decision-making in Niger State. As one of the first, if not the very first, to endorse the APC Consensus Chairmanship for 2025, we once again demonstrate our unwavering commitment to unity, progress, and the political advancement of our people.
Lapai LG has a rich history of producing outstanding political leaders who have played significant roles in shaping the state's governance. Our political landscape has always been dynamic, proactive, and forward-thinking, positioning us at the forefront of political evolution in Niger State. This latest endorsement is another testament to our deep-rooted tradition of making informed and visionary political decisions.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Honourable Abdullahi Umar Evuti , who has been officially endorsed today following the APC's zoning of the Chairmanship seat to my ward, Evuti-Kpada Ward. This endorsement is not just a political milestone for our ward but also a victory for the entire youth population of Lapai Local Government.
For years, we have been clamoring for youth inclusion in politics, and today, Alhamdulillah, our leaders have heard our voices and responded positively by entrusting one of our own with this great responsibility. It is now our collective duty as young people, party faithful, and progressives to support, rally behind, pray for, and ultimately vote for Honourable Abdullahi Umar Evuti in the upcoming 1st November 2025 local government election.
I also take this opportunity to call on all other aspirants who contested for the Chairmanship position under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to embrace the spirit of unity, cooperation, and party loyalty. The strength of our party lies in our ability to stand together as one family, and now is the time to consolidate our support for the endorsed candidate in the interest of peace, development, and continuity.
We pray and believe that Honourable Abdullahi Umar Evuti will lead with wisdom, integrity, and a vision for transformation. May his tenure mark a new era of growth, inclusivity, and remarkable achievements that will not only uplift Lapai Local Government but also etch Evuti-Kpada Ward into the annals of history as a significant contributor to our local government’s development.
The time is now. Let us all unite and work towards a brighter future for Lapai Local Government.

CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION 2025: NIGER STATE, A STATE WITH YOUTHFUL CAPACITY
The release of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC) timetable for the 2025 Chairmanship and Councillorship elections has sparked an important conversation that cannot be ignored.
At the heart of this discussion is the role of youths in leadership. First, let me extend my deep appreciation to our visionary Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago, for his unwavering commitment to youth inclusion in governance. His administration has set a precedent by appointing a significant number of young people into key government positions. This is commendable, but we must take it a step further by electing youths into executive leadership at the local government level.
Around the world, young leaders are transforming governance and driving progress. Some examples include:
Sebastián Kurz (Austria) – Became Chancellor at just 31 years old.
Nayib Bukele (El Salvador) – Became President at 37, reforming security and the economy.
Emmanuel Macron (France) – Elected President at 39, bringing fresh perspectives to governance.
Right here in Nigeria, we have seen young governors, legislators, and local government chairpersons proving that youths are not just the future but the present.
Even within Niger State, some local governments have already demonstrated that youth leadership works. Local government areas like Agaie, Chanchaga, and Bosso that have woman as a Chairperson have shown remarkable progress under youthful leadership. It is now time to expand this success to all LGAs.
We urge Governor Umar Bago and the APC and other political leadership to take deliberate steps to empower youth participation in the upcoming elections by:
1. Ensuring a free and fair primary election, Party leaders must allow an open contest where the best candidates emerge, not just those with influence or resources.
2. Reducing the cost of nomination forms, Many young people have the vision and capacity to lead but are discouraged by financial constraints. Reducing form prices by 50% for aspirants under 45 years old will remove this barrier.
3. Encouraging a youth-friendly political structure, The same way the Governor has directed that all LG Chairmen should pick a woman as their deputy, there should also be an intentional effort to support youth aspirants.
It's time youths move from social media activism to political action.
It is no longer enough for young people to rant on social media about youth inclusion in politics. We must step up, mobilize, and support youth aspirants at all levels. It is time to move from agitation to action!
While some incumbent Chairmen may be seeking re-election, there are several LGAs where fresh leadership is needed, including Lapai, my own local government. This presents a golden opportunity for credible youth aspirants to step forward and for the electorate to support competence over money politics.
The future is now!
For years, we have been told that "youths are the leaders of tomorrow." That tomorrow is now. We must take ownership of the present and prove that young leaders can drive meaningful development at the grassroots level.
I call on all Niger State youths to unite, support, and vote for youth aspirants who have the capacity, vision, and integrity to serve. Together, we can build a Niger State where young leaders are given the platform to deliver on governance, development, and progress.

LAPAI LOCAL GOV'T YOUTHS IN POLITICS CONDEMN A STATEMENT FROM SENATOR SANI 313 AGAINST THE CONSTRUCTION OF AGAIE-KATCHA-BARO ROAD IN NIGER STATE
IT'S A SHOCK TO HEAR SUCH A STATEMENT FROM A SENATOR WHO COMES FROM NIGER STATE
The Lapai Local Government Youths in Politics (LLGYIP) strongly condemn the recent statement made by Senator Sani 313, representing Zone B of Niger State, opposing the construction of the Agaie-Katcha-Baro road. This critical project, which has already been captured in the national budget, is expected to improve infrastructure, boost economic activities, and enhance transportation for residents of Zone A and the entire Niger State.
SENATOR SANI 313'S OPPOSITION: A BETRAYAL OF DEVELOPMENT
It is disheartening that a senator from Niger State, who should be at the forefront of advocating for infrastructural development, is instead working against the progress of his own state. His opposition to the project raises serious concerns about his true intentions. Is it for personal or political reasons? Is he against the project simply because it is not located in his zone? These are questions that need urgent answers.
The Agaie-Katcha-Baro road is not just a local project—it is a crucial link that will facilitate trade, ease transportation, and contribute to the overall economic development of Niger State. The road connects key agricultural and commercial areas, making it essential for farmers, traders, and businesses that rely on good road networks for their daily activities.
IMPORTANCE OF INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT
The importance of road construction and infrastructure projects cannot be overemphasized. Some key benefits include:
1. Economic Growth: Good road networks attract investment, promote commerce, and enhance economic activities in both urban and rural areas.
2. Job Creation: The construction process itself provides employment opportunities for local youths and skilled workers.
3. Improved Transportation: A well-constructed road reduces travel time, minimizes vehicle maintenance costs, and ensures the safety of road users.
4. Agricultural Development: Farmers need accessible roads to transport their produce to markets, reducing post-harvest losses and increasing their earnings.
5. Security Enhancement: Poor road networks often contribute to insecurity as criminals take advantage of inaccessible areas. Good roads improve the movement of security personnel, ensuring better safety for citizens.
THE SILENCE OF SENATORS REPRESENTING ZONE A
What is more disappointing is the silence of the senators representing Zone A, where this project is located. The people of this zone voted for representation that would protect their interests and ensure equitable development. However, their failure to speak up against Senator Sani 313’s anti-development stance raises concerns about their commitment to their constituents.
If elected officials cannot defend projects that benefit their people, then who will? This silence is unacceptable, and the people of Zone A demand immediate action from their representatives to ensure that this vital road project is not sabotaged due to selfish political interests.
CALL TO ACTION
The Lapai Local Government Youths in Politics (LLGYIP) urge the Federal Government and relevant authorities to proceed with the Agaie-Katcha-Baro road construction without delay. Development should not be held hostage by political disputes or personal interests. We also call on all Niger State leaders, stakeholders, and community members to stand against any attempt to stop this important project.
It is time for all well-meaning citizens of Niger State to unite for progress. We must prioritize development over personal interests and work together to ensure that every part of the state benefits from government projects.
