AGILE ADVANCES GIRLS’ EDUCATION WITH ANOTHER PHASE OF ATM CARD DISTRIBUTION IN MALAM SIDI

The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE), Gombe State, has commenced another phase of ATM card distribution to junior secondary school girls in Malam Sidi, strengthening efforts to promote girls’ education and reduce financial barriers to schooling.

The grand event was attended by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Aishatu Umar Maigari, the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Alhaji Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, other distinguished dignitaries, and mothers of the beneficiary girls.

The initiative provides financial support to eligible girls to help meet educational expenses, including school uniforms and learning materials, thereby encouraging school attendance, retention and completion. This aligns with AGILE’s broader mission to expand secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls.

Under the leadership of Dr. Amina Haruna Abdul, State Project Coordinator, Gombe AGILE, the programme continues to advance the education agenda of His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, Dan Majen Gombe, by empowering girls and supporting families to keep their daughters in school.

Educating a girl is empowering a generation. Together, let us keep every girl in school and give her the opportunity to thrive
