GOODWILL MESSAGE ON THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF ZAMFARA STATE AND NIGERIA’S 66TH INDEPENDENCE DAY
1st October, 2026.
On behalf of the Management of the Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities Board (ZSPwDB) and the entire Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) community in Zamfara State, I extend warm felicitations to His Excellency, Dr. Dauda Lawal, and the people of Zamfara State on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of Zamfara State from the former Sokoto State.
Thirty years after the creation of Zamfara State, the journey of persons with disabilities has reflected both significant challenges and gradual progress. For many years, PWDs faced limitations in access to opportunities, discrimination, social stereotypes and inadequate institutional support.
Today, we are witnessing a different chapter, with the establishment and implementation of a dedicated Zamfara State disabilities agency under the Rescue Mission administration, providing an institutional platform for advancing disability rights, inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities. This development marks an important step in the history of disability governance in the State and reflects the importance of sustained efforts toward inclusion.
As Zamfara marks three decades of statehood, we celebrate the contributions of its citizens, including persons with disabilities, and look forward to a future where every citizen can participate meaningfully in the development of the State.
We also join Nigerians at home and abroad in commemorating the 66th anniversary of Nigeria’s Independence. We pray for continued peace, unity, stability and sustainable development, with equal opportunities for all citizens.
May Almighty Allah continue to guide the leadership of Zamfara State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, bless our communities, and grant our State and nation greater peace, prosperity and inclusive development.
God bless Zamfara State.
God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Usman Ahmed Nahuche
Executive Chairman
Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities Board (ZSPwDB)
