IBEJU-LEKKI: OLOWA TURNS SUBSIDY REMOVAL BENEFITS INTO GRASSROOTS PROJECTS

Desalu PHC Nears Activation as Chairman Grades Access Road, Inspects Shapati Road

The drive to translate increased government resources into visible development at the grassroots has received another boost in Ibeju-Lekki, as the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, intensifies investment in healthcare and critical infrastructure.

In a fresh move highlighting the administration’s focus on projects with direct impact on residents, Chairman Olowa today inspected the Desalu Primary Health Centre, which is being prepared for activation to provide essential healthcare services to residents of Desalu, Onosa and neighbouring communities.

The facility, donated by the Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Lottery Board, has been furnished and equipped with medical equipment ahead of its commencement of operations.

Beyond the facility itself, Olowa also commenced the grading of the access road to the Desalu PHC, addressing a key requirement for residents’ easy access to the health centre.

The Chairman equally inspected the ongoing Shapati Road project, where work is progressing as part of the administration’s infrastructure development efforts across the local government.

The interventions are being presented by the administration as part of the way increased public resources following the Federal Government’s removal of fuel subsidy are being converted into projects at the grassroots.

From healthcare delivery to road infrastructure, the Olowa administration says its focus remains on ensuring that available resources translate into practical development that residents can see, access and benefit from within their communities.

At the grassroots, development is taking shape; one project at a time.

OLOWA BRINGS DATA AND TECHNOLOGY TO THE HEART OF INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING IN IBEJU-LEKKI

Development is more effective when it begins with a clear understanding of the terrain.

In Ibeju-Lekki, the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, is deploying technology, aerial mapping and data to gain a clearer picture of communities and their infrastructure needs.

Through detailed aerial imagery, the Chairman is reviewing road networks, drainage channels, residential expansion and other critical infrastructure across the Local Government.

This approach is helping the administration better understand where the gaps are, where the pressure points exist, and where interventions are most urgently needed; from road development and drainage improvement to flood management and other priority projects.

By combining data, technology and grassroots knowledge, the Olowa administration is strengthening the foundation for smarter planning, better resource allocation and more sustainable infrastructure development.

Know the terrain. Understand the needs. Plan with purpose. Build for the future.
