Our Thank You can Never be Enough to You — PDP Salute Kwara Teachers on World's Teachers Day
.. Says this hard time shall pass come 2027

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) felicitates with teachers across the state on the occasion of the 2026 Worlds Teachers’ Day, while acknowledging their dedication, commitment and sacrifices in keeping the education system alive despite the unfavourable working environment and anti-teacher policies of the AbdulRazaq-led APC administration since 2019.

In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, the party said thhe contribution of Kwara teachers to the development of the state can never be adequately repaid, stressing that teachers deserve more money, more promotions, more respect and, above all, a big thank you for being there day after day, even when the government has done little to encourage their loyalty and sacrifice.

Our party recognises that teachers are not just employees of government. They are the sector educating, shaping, inspiring and preparing the next generation for a decent and productive society. A society that wants a better future must invest in the people who build that future.

The party described teachers as the heartbeat of the state, saying they are the ones who mould society, taking generations from ignorance and backwardness to the level of knowledge, civilisation and development that we see today. Yet, they continue to be treated with little regard, particularly through delayed promotions, poor remuneration and inadequate welfare, despite huge resources available to the government.

“It is sad that the promotion examination conducted for our teachers in 2025 is yet to be implemented, even as the 2026 promotion cycle ought to have commenced. It is therefore ironic that the government is suddenly waking up to teachers’ promotion when the 2027 election is just 3 months away, after leaving teachers unattended to since 2019”

The PDP said teachers must never become election pawns whose promotions and welfare are tied to only when elections are approaching. We wish to remind Governor AbdulRazaq that Kwara teachers are not election materials. Their careers, promotions and welfare must not be tied to the electoral calendar.

The party assured teachers and other workers that a PDP government will correct these anomalies and place teachers’ welfare at the centre of its education policies, because teachers deserve the best treatment, just like every other public servant.

“To our hardworking teachers, we say: your sacrifice is seen, your struggles are acknowledged and your contribution is valued. This hard time shall pass come 2027. A new PDP administration under Engineer Suleiman Bolakale Kawu will restore dignity, reward your commitment and make your welfare a priority.

On this Teachers’ Day celebration, our thank you can never be enough. We salute you, we appreciate you and we remain committed to building a Kwara where those who educate our children are respected and fairly rewarded

Signed:
Olusegun Olusola Adewara
State Publicity Secretary
Kwara PDP .

I don't know what this people want to gain if Mr Governor AA got health problems with all this. We're already know that Mr Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasak should go back to Idi-igba to be their governor, that if they accept him.

Please let him have peace even if it's just once

🔥 MAGAJI NGERI HAS SPOKEN — THE PEOPLE ARE READY! 🔴⚪🟢

Today, the streets of Magaji Ngeri Constituency came alive with the energy, passion and determination of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family as party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women and loyal supporters gathered for a massive PDP Mega Rally.

This was more than a political rally. It was a powerful demonstration of unity, solidarity and grassroots strength.

From every corner of Magaji Ngeri, the message was loud and unmistakable: the people are politically conscious, organised and ready to participate in shaping the future of Kwara State.

The presence and influence of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, a former Senate President of Nigeria and a major political figure from Kwara, continues to inspire many members of the PDP family. His commitment to political organisation, democratic participation and the development of Kwara remains a major part of the party's conversation.

Also, the growing support for Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka (SBK) reflects the desire among many PDP supporters for a new chapter and renewed leadership in Kwara State.

But beyond individuals and political positions, today was fundamentally about the people.

It was about the market woman who wants a better economy.
It was about the young person looking for opportunity.
It was about the family seeking security and good governance.
It was about the community demanding development and representation.

Magaji Ngeri has demonstrated that grassroots politics is still alive.

The road to 2027 may be long, but every journey begins with one step. Today's gathering has added another powerful chapter to the story of PDP mobilisation in Kwara.

The message from Magaji Ngeri is simple:

WE ARE UNITED.
WE ARE ORGANISED.
WE ARE READY.

The movement continues. ✊🏽🔴⚪🟢
