KUNDUSU FUN SEN. BUKOLA SARAKI FUN ISE RIBIRIBI TO SE FUN MORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MALETE) KWARA NORTH
Saraki did not just build a university, he built a city. He sited KWASU in Malete, a small village that nobody knew before. Within one year of establishment, Malete turned to a city. That is what vision does. That is what leadership does.
All the projects of Gov AA put together can never match up with KWASU alone. Not one. Not two. All of them combined.
What KWASU did for kwarans at large
It Created Jobs:- Lecturers, non-lecturing staff, cleaners, security, administrative staff - thousands of families are eating today because Saraki brought KWASU to Malete. Every month salary is entering Moro because of one man's decision.
It Created Wealth:- Before KWASU, a plot of land in Malete was almost free. After KWASU, market value went up. Landlords became rich. Traders became rich. A woman selling akara by the roadside became a businesswoman. A man selling pure water became a distributor. KWASU gave everybody market.
It Created Transport Business:- The transporters in Malete will never curse Saraki. Never. From Ilorin to Malete, from Malete to Ilorin, daily daily, they are carrying students. They are carrying lecturers. They are carrying goods. Saraki gave them their daily food. He gave them their daily bread. He put money in their pocket everyday.
It Developed The Town:- The indigenes of Malete will keep praying for Saraki. They know what their town was before, and they know what it is now. Before, Malete was a village. Now, Malete is a city - with banks, with hostels, with hotels, with markets, with shops, with life. That is the power of siting a university.
Compare with Sadawona
GAA sited KWASUED in an existing institution. He did not create a new city. He did not develop a village. He did not give anybody a new market. He just took an existing school and renamed it. No new jobs like KWASU. No new city like KWASU. No new wealth like KWASU.
Saraki created from nothing. GAA renamed what already existed. That is the difference between a leader and a deceiver. One creates, the other copies.
Moro people have not forgotten. Malete people have not forgotten. They still pray for Saraki every day because they are still eating from the city he created for them.
Saraki did not just give Moro a university. He gave Moro life. He gave Moro a future.
KWASU alone is bigger than all GAA projects combined.
