Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido Ya Tallafa wa ‘Yan Gudun Hijira a Sokoto

SOKOTO — Dan takarar Gwamnan Jihar Sokoto a ƙarƙashin jam’iyyar NDC, Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido, ya bayar da tallafin kayan agaji ga wasu daga cikin ‘yan gudun hijirar da hare-haren ‘yan bindiga s**a tilasta barin gidajensu da wuraren zamansu.

Tallafin, wanda ya ƙunshi buhuhuwan gumi mai kwano 40 guda 10, an kai shi ga wasu daga cikin ‘yan gudun hijirar da ke zaune a Ramen Kura, Sokoto, domin rage musu wasu daga cikin matsalolin rayuwa da suke fuskanta.

Sakataren NDC na Jihar Sokoto ne ya wakilci Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido wajen mika tallafin. Ya samu rakiyar Aminu Malami Danbafashe, Usama Musa Buhari, A.A. Yabo Zayyan da sauran mambobin tawagar.

A yayin mika tallafin, an bayyana cewa kulawa da waɗanda matsalar rashin tsaro ta shafa na daga cikin abubuwan da ya kamata a ba su muhimmanci, musamman mutanen da s**a rasa matsugunansu da hanyoyin samun abin dogaro da kai.

Wannan tallafi ya kuma sake jaddada muhimmancin haɗin gwiwa tsakanin shugabanni da al’umma wajen tallafa wa waɗanda s**a fuskanci matsalolin rashin tsaro da ƙaura daga muhallansa

My heart is deeply saddened by the daily killings and kidnappings of innocent people in Isa LGA—farmers, travellers, and citizens simply trying to earn a living.

My heart is burning as I watch my ancestral home bleed. Many surrounding communities have been deserted, and now Isa town itself faces attacks and fear from all directions. Our people feel trapped in their own homeland.

My heartfelt condolences go to every family that has lost a loved one, and my prayers are with those affected and those still in captivity.

May Allah protect the people of Isa, restore peace to our communities, and bring an end to this suffering. Isa is our home, our heritage, and our ancestral land. Ameen.

Peter Obi and Kwankwaso Attend Town Hall Meeting in Sokoto
The NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE, attended the Presidential Town Hall Meeting held in Sokoto State.
Also in attendance were the NDC governorship candidate for Sokoto State, Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido, and the party’s senatorial candidate for Sokoto East Senatorial District, Honourable Abdulrahman Umar MAISALATI.

The event, held today, Monday, 28 September 2026, brought together stakeholders and supporters to discuss issues relating to politics, governance, and the future of Sokoto State and Nigeria.

NDC SOKOTO HOSTS MAJOR TOWN HALL MEETING WITH PETER OBI AND RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Sokoto State Chapter, under the leadership of Hon. Bello Sani Yabo, cordially invites the people of Sokoto State to a major Town Hall Meeting featuring the party’s Presidential Candidate, H.E. Mr. Peter Obi, and his Vice-Presidential Candidate, H.E. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The meeting will also bring together the party’s candidates contesting for various elective positions, including Governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats.

A DAY OF DIALOGUE, LISTENING AND SHARED VISION

The Town Hall Meeting is part of a one-day working visit to Sokoto by the NDC leadership and candidates.

The engagement is designed to provide an open platform for interaction with civil society organisations, community groups, men and women, business stakeholders, youths and residents of Sokoto State.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their policies, programmes and vision for Sokoto State, Northern Nigeria and the country at large, while also sharing their concerns, ideas and recommendations ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
