APC National Chairman Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, Commends President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Approving Fourth Legacy Road Project

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the construction of the Fourth Legacy Road Project, following a joint request by himself and Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang.

According to Prof. Yilwatda, the strategic highway will run from Maraban Jama'a through Pankshin, Langtang, and Shendam, terminating at Ibi, providing a vital transport corridor that will enhance regional connectivity, stimulate economic activities, improve access to markets, and strengthen national integration between the North Central and North Eastern regions.

He described the approval as a clear demonstration of President Tinubu's unwavering commitment to infrastructure development and inclusive economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Prof. Yilwatda also commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for the collaborative effort that led to the approval, noting that development is best achieved through unity of purpose and partnership across political divides.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that will deliver sustainable development and improve the lives of Nigerians.

Thank you, Mr President.

Just for clarity, this new approval means the road from Mararaban Jama'a in Jos to Pankshin, to Langtang, to Garkawa, to Yelwa and down to Ibi in Taraba State will not only be constructed, but dualized!

For Plateau people, this would be the single biggest economic corridor for commercial agriculture, trade and tourism. For Taraba and the North East, this road will cut down their travel time by more than 8 hours. This revolutionary road, when completed, becomes our most treasured blessing.

The icing for me is the fact that it will be constructed using the concrete pavement technology which guarantees its lifespan to about 100 years. Yes, 100yrs!

And let me add an interesting fact. The day National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, presented the request for this road, that same day Mr President approved it and directed its inclusion into fourth legacy highway under special intervention funding. This is why we say Tinubu or Nothing.

Thank you, so much.

Nigeria's progress is best served when we build bridges of understanding, encourage constructive dialogue, and place the welfare of citizens above partisan considerations.

TO: THE GOVERNOR'S GROUP, PLATEAU STATE APC.

Good morning.

It is concerning that some of you appear to ignore the dangerous narrative being pushed against our Leader, the National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda.

This trend playing out in Jos is being fueled by some individuals who are trying to drag us back into opposition politics even within our party.
They are blaming the National Chairman for the allocation of House of Assembly seats.

For clarity, the seat allocation was done by our State Party Leaders, selected key party stakeholders and EXCO.
The decision was reached to give the Governorโ€™s bloc 16 members and the Legacy Group 8 members, primarily to secure a stable majority and prevent any possibility of impeachment for the Governor.

Both sides agreed to this arrangement in good faith so why should the National chairman get the backlash while the other side keeps mute like it doesn't understand what's going on?

We are therefore confused by the faceless sponsors of the protest calling for the National Chairmanโ€™s removal, especially when the grievances are coming from within your own group over internal dissatisfaction.

It would be a breach of trust for supporters of the Governor to turn around and blame the National Chairman, whose primary interest is the Unity of our great party and a proof is herein attached to my post.

I want to believe that His Excellency, the Governor, is not aware of this narrative.
All we are asking for is a government built on sincerity and fairness. That is my concern.

Final note to those pushing this narrative:
If the Governor had wanted your constituencies specifically, he had the 16 seats to do so.
Must we now scatter the marriage we are still trying to build?

We are still healing. Our old APC structures have received little, and instead of support, we are seeing backlash against our Leaders who are working to Unite the party.

The event underscored the critical role of engineering in driving national development, fostering innovation, strengthening infrastructure, and supporting the country's industrial growth and economic transformation.

Senegal wants to remove its fuel subsidy because it can no longer sustain it.

Current price is $1.61/Lโ€ฆ.. 2,221naira

Without it, it could rise to $4/L (โ‚ฆ5,600/L).

Nigeria, even after-subsidy, is โ‚ฆ1,200/Lโ€ฆ. $0.87

All African leaders will learn economic reforms from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by fire, by force.
