Mental health support is not one-size-fits-all.
From psychiatrists and clinical psychologists to counsellors, social workers, life coaches, and peer mentors, each professional plays a different role in supporting wellness, healing, growth, and recovery.
Understanding the kind of help you need is an important first step:
• Treatment for a clinical condition
• Support through emotional challenges
• Growth in habits and mindset
• Direction for personal goals and wellbeing
Seeking help is a sign of strength, and the right support can make all the difference.

KADSAMHSA has successfully concluded a specialized 3-day training for implementers of the Strong Families Programme, organized in technical partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
As conversations around the importance of family continue globally today, this training represents a significant step in strengthening family systems as a foundation for healthier and more resilient communities across Kaduna State.

Facilitation was led by distinguished Master Trainers:
• Karen Peters (UNODC Headquarters, Vienna)
• Dr. Akanidomo Ibanga (UNODC Country Office, Nigeria)
Participants drawn from the four pilot LGAs — Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, and Igabi — were equipped with the technical knowledge and implementation tools required to support programme delivery across Primary Healthcare Centres, Basic Education Schools, and Community Centres.
KADSAMHSA also appreciates the Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Board for hosting the training and supporting this important initiative.
The Agency remains committed to strengthening prevention systems, supporting healthier families, and advancing sustainable community-based interventions across Kaduna State.
