At the North-East Zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, led by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the focus is clear; addressing food unavailability and nutritional deficits among vulnerable mothers and children.
 
From pregnant women to lactating mothers and young children, each package is designed to meet specific nutritional needs of vulnerable families with locally sourced food items. With 1,000 packages delivered monthly, Borno marks the first wave.
 
With each phase, the programme expands, adding more states and demonstrating a model built on evidence, structure, and scale.
 

The conversation around food pricing in Nigeria demands the right voices at the table, and today, Mr Ayodeji Oludare Sotinrin, the MD of BOA, will be one of them.

The Bank of Agriculture joined Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the inauguration of the Board of Trustees and the official launch of the Community Food Bank Trust Fund at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The Trust Fund, domiciled at the Bank of Agriculture, will mobilize resources from government, the private sector, development partners, and philanthropists to address Nigeria's growing food insecurity crisis, with 12 million children under five currently stunted and 62 percent of households facing food insecurity.

BOA plays a central role in the programme as Trust Fund Custodian, food supply aggregator, and strategic governance partner.
