This Blessed night was truly inspiring as I joined distinguished women leaders and stakeholders at a dinner hosted by the Majority Leader of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Munira Suleiman Tanimu, in honour of participants at the North-West advocacy and sensitisation programme on the Reserved Seats for Women Bill.
Beyond the formalities, the gathering was a powerful reminder of what is possible when women come together with purpose, courage, and shared commitment. The Reserved Seats for Women Bill is not just a policy discussion, it is about dignity, visibility, and creating space for women’s voices to shape decisions that affect our lives and our children’s future.
When women support women, when leadership listens, and when inclusion becomes intentional, real change becomes inevitable.

Vice Chairman, Lere LGA.

I stood in solidarity with women across the North-West and Nigeria at the flag-off of the Advocacy Campaign for the Reserved Seats for Women Bill in Kaduna.
This moment touched me deeply because it speaks to generations of women whose voices have been unheard, whose leadership potential has been overlooked, and whose contributions have shaped our communities without recognition. Women’s participation in governance is not a gift it is a right.
Women are the backbone of our homes, our communities, and our democracy. Yet, despite our numbers and commitment, we remain underrepresented where critical decisions are made. The Reserved Seats for Women Bill offers hope a fair and practical step toward breaking long-standing barriers and opening doors for women to lead without fear or exclusion.
I am proud of Senator Uba Sani, The Executive Governor of Kaduna State for continuing to show that when women are given the opportunity, they lead with courage, compassion, and excellence. This is not just about politics; it is about justice, dignity, and the future we owe our daughters.
I stand firmly in support of this bill and call on all leaders and citizens to rise with us and make inclusion a reality.

Hon. Kalen Ehpraim Audu, PhD.
Vice Chairman, Lere LGA.

FROM LERE TO LEGACY: CELEBRATING THE INTELLECT, BRILLIANCE, AND POWER OF LERE STUDENTS

I was privileged to lead the Lere Local Government delegation to the Team ADDA Annual Spelling Bee 1.0 (Zone 1) at Dr M.I Maccido Hall, Federal University of Education, Zaria, where our students proved that intelligence knows no disadvantage. Against all odds, Lere recorded an outstanding feat, emerging 2nd overall in both categories, with Precious Mathew clinching 2nd position in the Junior category and Cynthia Philibus finishing 2nd in the Senior category after intense competition.
Beyond academic excellence, Lere LGA was awarded the Most Coordinated Local Government throughout the entire process, evidence to teamwork, leadership, and preparation.
This success aligns with the strong commitment to quality education championed by Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, who was ably represented at the event by Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, We sincerely commend the Kaduna State Government and the Hon Jafaru Ahmed-led administration for prioritizing education and inclusive learning. Lere proudly affirms that when a child is empowered educationally, the future is secured.

2025 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD.

Theme: “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis.”

In the heart of our communities, where many girls wake before dawn to fetch water, help at home, and still dream of sitting in a classroom, we came together to celebrate her: the girl child.
She is not just a daughter; she is a leader in the making. She faces barriers of poverty, silence, and expectation, yet she rises, learns, and dares to dream.

Last Thursday, 09th October, I led some of my colleagues and friends to mark the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child. We held the celebration at Government Secondary School, Lere (Lere West) and Girls’ College of the Beatitudes, Saminaka (Lere East), where hundreds of young girls gathered with hope in their eyes and courage in their hearts.
From inspiring talks on menstrual health, hygiene, and self-worth, to the distribution of free sanitary pads and food items, the message was clear: every girl deserves dignity, education, and opportunity.

As a Local Government, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a future where no girl is left behind, where every girl can learn, lead, and lift others.

I deeply appreciate His Excellency Senator Uba Sani the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, whose vision for girl-child education and women’s empowerment continues to inspire progress in every corner of our state and to my Boss Hon. Jafaru Ahmed, the Executive Chairman of Lere for his support and guidance.
To all individuals and groups who supported me during the celebration of this great day, I said thank you and may God bless you all.

Today, I stand with every girl of Lere LGA and beyond to say:

You are not forgotten.
You are the change we need.
You are the light of tomorrow.

Happy International day of the Girl Child.

Hon. Kalen Ephraim Audu. PhD.
Vice Chairman Lere LGA.

CELEBRATING THE PILLARS OF KNOWLEDGE & HOPE.

Today, we celebrate the men and women who light the path of wisdom . They are the unsung heroes shaping destinies, molding characters, and building the very foundation upon which every society stands.
As we mark this year’s World Teachers’ Day, I join millions across the world in saluting our Teachers at all levels, from the classrooms in our rural communities to the lecture halls of our higher institutions, for their tireless commitment to raising generations of responsible citizens.

I specially congratulate Mr. Andimayoh Shadari of LGEA Gure II, who emerged as the Best Teacher of Lere Local Government Area at the maiden at Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board ( ) Teachers’ Award Ceremony, held in line with the Sustainable Development Agenda of His Excellency, Governor Senator Uba Sani. This recognition is not just a personal achievement but a symbol of the excellence, resilience, and dedication of all teachers in Kaduna State.

Teaching is not just a profession, it is a calling, a sacrifice, and a legacy.
To every teacher who has ever inspired a child, given hope to a struggling learner, or refused to give up on a student, you are the true architects of our future.

Thank you for your service, your patience, and your unwavering faith in the power of education.
Happy Teachers’ Day 2025! 🎓✨.
