Strengthening Partnerships for Effective Implementation of the Kaduna State Demographic Dividend Roadmap and Youth Policy
The Ministry of Youth Development held a strategic engagement with representatives from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and LAFIYA Programme on 9th April 2026, to review progress on the implementation of the Demographic Dividend Roadmap (DDR) and the recently reviewed and validated Youth Policy document.
During the engagement, the Honourable Commissioner, Barr. Gloria Ibrahim, expressed appreciation for the continued support and contributions of partners and emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that these policy documents go beyond paper and are transformed into practical tools, widely known, accepted, and utilized by young people across the state to drive their growth and development.
While charting a way forward, she also reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to strengthen collaboration with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and other key stakeholders to achieve impactful outcomes.

Strengthening coordination for sustainable peace and youth development in Kaduna State!
The Ministry of Youth Development, under the leadership of the Hon. Commissioner, Barr. Gloria Ibrahim, successfully held a 2-day "Technical Guidance and Capacity Upscaling Engagement" on the 25th and 26th of March, 2026.
The engagement was convened for the Kaduna State Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Technical Implementation Committee (TIC), in collaboration with UK International Development and Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (SPRiNG) Programme.
Hosted at the Ministry, the engagement underscores the commitment of the administration of His Excellency Sen. Uba Sani to fostering collaboration and ensuring the impactful delivery of youth-focused peace and security initiatives. It concluded with actionable projections and clear next steps to drive effective implementation.

The Honourable Commissioner Barr. Gloria Ibrahim, represented His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, at the 2026 Nom Zhire Cultural Celebration (Kenyi Day) held in Kenyi, Kagarko Local Government Area on 21st March, 2026.
The event, themed “Celebrating Our Roots, Shaping Zhire Future,” brought together sons and daughters of the Zhire community to honour their rich cultural heritage, strengthen unity, and chart a path for collective progress.
The Commissioner, representing the Governor, delivered his address, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural identity while embracing innovation and development. He noted that cultural festivals like Kenyi Day serve not only as a celebration of tradition but also as vital platforms for community engagement, youth empowerment, and local economic growth.
He reaffirmed the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote cultural heritage, grassroots development, and youth inclusion. He also commended the people of Kenyi and the wider Kagarko community for their resilience, peaceful coexistence, and dedication to unity.

Kaduna State is taking digital learning closer to our young people!
The Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Uba Sani, has flagged off the “Class Is Open Everywhere” Renewed Hope DigiTruck Digital Skills Training Programme, a mobile digital classroom that will move directly to secondary schools across the state, ensuring no child is left behind in the digital age.
During its stay in Kaduna State, the DigiTruck is expected to reach between 20 and 30 secondary schools across the three zones, impacting over 1,000 students.
Through this initiative, students will gain hands-on exposure to basic computing, AI fundamentals, and digital creativity, equipping them with practical 21st-century skills needed for innovation, leadership, and future employment.
The programme is a partnership of the Kaduna State Government with Sapphital Limited as the implementing partner, in collaboration with Huawei Technologies.
This effort reflects government’s commitment to expanding digital literacy, promoting innovation, and creating equal learning opportunities for students in both urban and rural communities. The future is digital and Kaduna youths are being prepared to lead it.
