*GONE TOO SOON:*
A Tribute to the Memory of
*Bello Muhammad Sharada*
*By Muhammad Sani Ado*
*(August 30, 2026)*
It is with a deeply saddened heart, and with complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, that I pay this tribute to the memory of *Bello Muhammad Sharada,* who departed this world on August 29, 2026.
The news of Bello’s death came as a profound shock to me and to the many people who had the privilege of knowing, working with, and being touched by his remarkable character. His was a life that, though cut short, left behind an enduring impression of humility, discipline, loyalty, brilliance and service.
Bello Muhammad Sharada was not merely the head of the social media team within the political circle of *Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Sardaunan Kano.* He was, in many ways, the intellectual voice and a dependable custodian of the records of our political journey. He understood that political communication was not simply about responding to events or winning arguments; it was also about preserving history, explaining achievements and putting public service in its proper perspective.
He wrote with exceptional clarity and conviction, particularly about the remarkable achievements of Sardaunan Kano during his tenure as Governor of Kano State from 2003 to 2011, and subsequently during his service as Minister of Education and as Senator representing Kano Central from 2019 to 2023. Bello had an extraordinary ability to research, analyse and present facts in a manner that was both compelling and accessible.
His writings were not limited to politics. He followed national affairs closely and wrote intelligently and courageously on contemporary issues affecting our country. His pen was informed by knowledge, observation and a genuine desire to contribute to public discourse.
Yet, beyond his remarkable intellectual ability, what made Bello particularly special was the man himself.
He was humble.
He was respectful.
He was gentle in his dealings with people.
He was not a man who sought confrontation. You hardly saw him embroiled in quarrels or unnecessary arguments. Even when expressing strong views, he carried himself with civility and restraint. He understood that disagreement did not have to become hostility and that one could defend a position without diminishing another person.
Those who worked with him, particularly the young men who made up the social media team, respected him greatly. His leadership was evidently built not on intimidation or arrogance, but on knowledge, example and mutual respect. He earned the loyalty of those around him because he treated them with dignity.
That, perhaps, is one of the greatest measures of a person's character: *how he is remembered by those who worked closely with him.*
Bello was loved because he was approachable. He was respected because he respected others. He was valued because he gave of himself without making himself the centre of attention.
In an age when public discourse can so easily descend into insults, rancour and personal attacks, Bello stood apart. His writings demonstrated that one could be passionate without being abusive, firm without being arrogant, and politically committed without losing one's sense of decency.
His passing therefore leaves a void - not only among his family and friends, but also among those of us who knew him as a trusted colleague, a gifted writer and a dedicated member of our political family.
For me personally, Bello’s death is a painful reminder that some of the people whose contributions we have come to take for granted are, in fact, irreplaceable. His words, his commitment, his quiet presence and his extraordinary ability to articulate our story will be greatly missed.
We shall miss his pen.
We shall miss his wisdom.
We shall miss his humility.
We shall miss his reassuring presence.
But most of all, we shall miss Bello the human being—the gentle, respectful and remarkable man who touched the lives of many without seeking recognition for himself.
Death may silence a voice, but it cannot erase a legacy. Bello's writings remain. The ideas he articulated remain. The people he mentored and worked with remain. And the memories he created in the hearts of those who knew him will remain long after the sadness of his departure has subsided.
As Muslims, we accept that every soul shall taste death. Our responsibility now is not to question Allah's decree, but to pray that He receives Bello with mercy, forgives his shortcomings and rewards his good deeds.
*May Almighty Allah forgive Bello Muhammad Sharada, illuminate his grave, grant him eternal peace, and admit him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus.*
May Allah give his family, friends, colleagues and all those who mourn him the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss.
And may Allah reward him abundantly for every good word he wrote, every person he helped, every young colleague he encouraged, and every contribution he made to public discourse and to the service of his community.
Bello Muhammad Sharada has departed, but his memory will live on.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Inna lilLahi wa inna ilaihir raji'un.
