Everything is wrong with us. We can't achieve anything with all these unfortunate events happening. No one would want to come for any reason to such a scary place. Everyone would also wish to escape unless if one cannot. The uncertainties are too many; the fear is unbearable.

We overdo everything that comes to Arewa. Ten years ago, kidnapping was pretty unknown in that region. It used to be a southern Nigerian thing. Even there, they mostly abducted foreign expats working with oil companies. It also occurred among a particular ethnic community.

Regardless of your perceived eloquence, logic and persuasion, some people will never believe you. No prophet had everyone on his side. No leader, good or bad, democratic or despotic, has ever been able to have the support of all their subjects.

People think that being productive means no more TV, Facebook, going out with friends or having a good time. That's not true. Being productive is about knowing when to have fun and when to work hard, when to relax and when to be serious. It's about making smart choices.

Killings have become our new normal in northern Nigeria. Most of us are no longer ruffled by the news as it occurs daily. Northwestern Nigeria has never had it this bad. Ironically, it so happens when one of us is leading the country. May God forgive and rescue us, amin. 🙏🏾

It is essential that we never let criticism descend to insult; we must grant that our opponent may be right and that in any case his reasons, even though bad, may be disinterested. It is essential, in short, that we remake our political mentality.

Most, if not all, hardline terror groups trust some people. These people help in negotiating with them. The ongoing US-Taliban peace talk in Qatar is an example. However, I think Miyetti Allah should do more than negotiating with those bandits. They ought to help .

Fight the urge to break the news or share news that favours your beliefs without any verification. Nothing floats on social media more than FAKE news in forms of misinformation, disinformation or mal-information.
