𝐎𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐂𝐃𝐀 𝐓𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞

The Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Iworo-Awori, Badagry, Lagos State, is set to hold a Women Symposium and Empowerment Programme.

The programme will be held under the chairmanship of 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙆𝙤𝙛𝙤𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙖 𝘼𝙟𝙤𝙨𝙚, wife of the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA.

The event is part of the council’s efforts to promote women’s health, support empowerment, improve family welfare, and encourage community development across the council area.

The symposium is themed “𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒚 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏, 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒚 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔” and will bring together women from different communities to discuss health, preventive healthcare, personal development, and community well-being. It will also include empowerment sessions for participants.

The event will feature lectures by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗷𝗮𝗵 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗲 of Lagos State University and 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶, 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻, LASU Badagry Campus.

Olorunda Local Council Development Area, alongside Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon and other stakeholders, on Tuesday joined thousands of supporters at a mega endorsement rally in Badagry Federation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The rally, which also involved Badagry Local Government and Badagry West LCDA, held at the open space in front of Sunny Ajose Housing Estate opposite the French Village, Badagry.

The event brought together party members, political stakeholders, youth groups, women associations, traditional rulers, market leaders and community representatives from across the federation.

Participants reaffirmed support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and endorsed Dr. Hamzat as the preferred APC governorship aspirant in Lagos State for the 2027 election.

Speakers at the event said the endorsement reflects continued support for APC leadership at both national and state levels.

The gathering ended with commitments from stakeholders to mobilize support ahead of the 2027 elections across Badagry Federation.

The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, has reaffirmed his total support for the re-election bid of Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule following a courtesy visit by the Olorunda LCDA executives of the senator’s campaign team.

The delegation, led by Mr. Oluomo Dare Setonji Babatunde, visited the chairman at his office in Iworo on Monday to formally introduce members of the campaign structure and seek his support ahead of the 2027 elections.

The team, which comprises ward coordinators from the five wards in Olorunda LCDA alongside other local government executives, said the visit was aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation for Senator Adebule, who currently represents Lagos West Senatorial District at the National Assembly and is seeking another term in office.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Ajose described Senator Adebule as a respected leader and political mother whose contributions to Lagos State and the All Progressives Congress cannot be overlooked.

According to him, the campaign team did not need to request his support before he decided to stand firmly behind the senator’s re-election ambition.

He praised Senator Adebule for what he described as exemplary leadership and quality representation at the National Assembly, adding that she remains the party’s preferred candidate for the Lagos West Senatorial seat.

The council boss also assured the group of his readiness to support all aspirants who eventually emerge through the APC primary elections, while urging party members in Olorunda LCDA to remain loyal and united ahead of the primaries.

He encouraged members of the party to participate actively in the forthcoming APC primaries and vote for candidates of their choice peacefully.

𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, earlier today joined party leaders, faithful supporters, and other distinguished stakeholders at a special congregational prayer organised by the Renewed Hope Network at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

The gathering was held in solidarity and support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the leadership of both the nation and Lagos State.
