Isolo LCDA Legislative Arm Celebrates Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Idris Babatunde Amusa, on His Birthday

The 5th Legislative Arm of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has joined family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate the birthday of Hon. Idris Babatunde Amusa, the Deputy Majority Leader and Councilor representing Akinbaiye Ward.

In a statement signed by the Leader of the House, Hon. Akeem Alarape, the celebrant was described as “a visionary leader and a people-oriented representative who consistently champions the well-being and progress of his constituents in Akinbaiye.”

Isolo Councillors Greet Constituents on Easter Celebration

The leadership and members of the Isolo Legislative Council have felicitated adherents of the Christian faith on the solemn celebration of this year’s Easter Sunday.

The grassroots lawmakers, through a statement signed by the Council Leader, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape, described Christ’s resurrection thousands of years ago as a divine victory over death and life’s tribulations, symbolizing a new dawn of hope, renewal, and unwavering faith.

“Easter is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and ultimately triumph. As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the power of love, unity, and perseverance. This season calls on all of us to extend compassion to one another and work together for the growth and development of our dear council area.”

The lawmakers also used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to delivering democratic dividends and prioritizing the welfare of the people at the grassroots level even as their tenure winds down.

While wishing all Christian faithful a peaceful and joyful Easter celebration, the Councillors urged residents to continue to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, and community spirit that Easter represents.

Isolo Councillors Felicitate Muslims On Eid-el-Fitr Celebration

As Muslims across the globe gather to celebrate this year’s Eid-el Fitr, the legislative arm of Isolo LCDA has congratulated Muslims faithful from across the seven wards in the council area.

The grassroots lawmakers’ compliments were contained in a press statement signed by the leader, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape this morning.

The lawmakers highlighted the importance of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration as a time of joy, reflection, and gratitude. Hon. Alarape emphasized the significance of the month of Ramadan and the spirit of sacrifice, unity, and community that it brings.

“Eid is not just a time to rejoice, but also an opportunity to reflect on the values of peace, love, and charity. As leaders, we are committed to ensuring that the welfare and well-being of our constituents are always a priority,” the statement read in part.

The Councillors of Isolo Local Council Development have joined stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress to commiserate with the State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi over the demise of his wife, Mrs. Ebunoluwa Esther Ojelabi.

In a condolence message signed by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Akeem Alarape, the grassroots lawmakers condoled with the Ojelabi's family particularly the State Chairman of the Lagos State All Progressives over the sudden and shock news of the passing of his wife.

In his word; "The news of the death of Mrs. Ebunoluwa Esther Ojelabi came with a rude shock to the All Progressives Congress Family in Lagos. She has remained a strong pillar of support to our chairman and the party. Her death is indeed a great loss.

"On behalf of the entire Councilors in Isolo LCDA, we sympathize with our revered leader and State Chairman of our party, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi over the loss of his wife and support system of over the years," the statement reads.

The Councillors pray for the repose of her soul and fortitude for the family and other mourners to bear the loss of her demise.

IWD: ISOLO COUNCILORS CELEBRATE WOMEN FOR THEIR ROLE IN NATION-BUlLDING

The Councilors of Isolo LCDA has assured the Women of Isolo LCDA of more Gender-based support, equality and inclusiveness through law promulgation at the grassroots.

This was made known in a press statement signed by the Leader of the house, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape in a message to celebrate International Women's Day today.

The Grassroot lawmakers went further to eulogize the role of Women in nation-building, cohesion and stability making them an integral part and a pivotal element in the society.

The council leader, Hon. Alarape noted that the lawmakers in Isolo LCDA appreciates women and reason why they have continued to provide the necessary support needed for them to thrive especially in the community through support for programs and initiatives that have the Women folks as its target.

"On this special day that of International Women's Day celebration, we rejoice and celebrate our Women in Isolo and across the globe for their unwavering commitment and support to Nation-building starting from the responsibility they shoulder at home hitherto having its postive impact on the larger Society and nation"

Emphasizing on this year's theme of the International Women's Day celebration, Hon. Alarape has implored the Women at the Grassroots to accelerate action via their continued involvement in the political process and other areas to ensure that they keep moving to break more stereotype barriers confronting them to thrive.

" I want to encourage our Women to see this year's theme of their celebration as a call for serious action in all ramifications. Women are doing great and breaking limitations, Accelerate Action as this year's theme is charging them to do more.

Isolo Councillors Celebrate Party Chairman, Barr. Gani Bello On Birthday

The councillors representing Ilasamaja, Okota, Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari, Alagbeji, Akinbaiye, Apena and Ajao Estate Wards in Isolo LCDA have sent their compliments to APC Chairman in Isolo LCDA, Barrister Gani Bello on his birth renewal today.

LENT: LET'S EMULATE CHRIST, FAST AND PRAY FOR SPIRITUAL CLEANSING, UPLIFTMENT

The Legislative Arm of Isolo LCDA has implored the Christians within the council area and the world at large to fast and pray for spiritual cleansing and upliftment.

In a message signed by the council leader, Hon.Akeem Adeyemi Alarape on Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of the Christians 40 days fasting said the moments should be used to seek the face of God for intervention and direction over the affairs of the country.

He noted that as both the Muslims and Christians are observing spiritual exercise of renewal and maintaining closed relationships with God symbolizes that God is one and we must together seek his face for help for our dear nation, state and local community.

His words, "As we begin this scared Lenten season with Ash Wednesday signalling the beginning of the Christians fasting, let us use this special moments of biblical injunction to pray and renewed our community to God.

"We must realize that this special period coinciding with the Ramadan is to awaken the spiritual consciousness in everyone to come together and seek the face of God over the our lives, families, country and community in prayer.

“May this special season of spiritual upliftment be made manifest in every aspect of our lives as a community and people,” the statement read.

Isolo Councillors Celebrate K1 @68

The 5th Legislative Council of Isolo LCDA has joined in the birthday celebration of the king of Fuji Music and Maiyegun of Yorubaland, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, MON, on his birth anniversary today. K1, as fondly and globally known, clocks 68 today, the 3rd of March, 2025.

In a special press statement signed by the leader of the legislative council, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape, the councillors appreciated the Fuji maestro for dedicating his life to the growth of Nigerian music and culture.

The grassroots lawmakers acknowledged K1’s contribution to the global recognition of the Yoruba language and culture through his redefined Fuji music.

They further commended the national honoree for being a role model and mentor to many, particularly the youth adding that his personality, both on and off the stage, has set a standard for upcoming artists and leaders in various spheres of life. ...Says Ramadan Is A Spiritual Moment For Purity, Sacrifices

The Seven grassroots Lawmakers of Isolo Local Council Development Area extend their warmest greetings to the Muslim faithful on the commencement of this year's Ramadan Fasting.

In a message signed by leader of the house, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape, the legislative arm welcomed the Islam adherents to the holy Month, which he described as the scared month for holiness, prayers and sacrifice.

In his message, Hon. Akeem Alarape called for sustained prayers for the country and its leaders at all levels for continued peace, growth and development for the country.

He noted that Ramadan period is a special season of spiritual exercise for blessings, favours and forgiveness from Allah for true participants, while he enjoined that the season should be well used to seek the face of Allah for His blessings in every facets of our lives.

"May I use this medium to welcome all our Islam adherents to the holy month of Ramadan which is a sacred period, spiritual rejuvenation and upholding one of the tenents of Islam.

"I beseech our Muslim faithful to conduct themselves with dedication to spiritual wellness, love and compassion throughout the fasting period, ensuring that the virtues of imbibed during Ramadan reflect beyond the month itself,"

The Councillors prayed for a peaceful and hitch-free fasting as the journey of Ramadan begins.

The leadership and members of the 5th legislative Council of Isolo LCDA have joined family, friends, political associates and other numerous well-wishers to celebrate Chief Mrs. Adetoun Agnes Ajomale as she joined the Septuagenarian club today.

The leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi Alarape, in a goodwill message released this morning, described Mama Ajomale as a great mother, pillar of support for the progressive family and a nation-builder whose contributions have significantly impacted the development of Isolo LCDA and Lagos at large.

He salutes the latest Septuagenarian for her wise counsel, support and role in fostering unity and harmony within the ranks and files of the progressives in Isolo and Lagos as at large.
