As we have said earlier, we are going to be doing a giveaway for those that followed the play.

Commissioner: Our governor sir, we are very sorry to provoke you, please accept our apologies. To the union, thanks for expressing yourselves. As the governor as said earlier, we will look I to your agitation and something will be done.

(The commissioner called the governor's body guard and they handed envelopes of #500,000 each to the union representatives but the Teachers representative refused)

Teachers rep: I am sorry, I don't need this (looking at others), you all are loads of disappointments, so this is what you came here for, are you aware that that money will pay some members salary. I am not interested in that money, all I want is that our salaries be paid as said (he walked out).

Commissioner: (hissed) Please this is a token, you know what to say to your members. So I hereby bring this meeting to a close.

(They all left. Before the teachers representative got home, he saw an alert of #700,000 but he withdraw the money and took it back to the commissioner, that he does not want. The other representatives gave there members unreasonable excuses and they resumed back to work but the government did not fulfill their promise).

*NOW WHO IS THE THIEF*

Scene Three

(In the government house, the union representative are present including the commissioner and governor)

Commissioner: Your excellency sir, the governor of our state, governor Olagoke, I welcome you sir, also I welcome all the union representative that made themselves available. I believe we all ambassadors and we have come to represent our dear state and the civil servants. Our governor is a very busy person, so I will want us to be judicious with our time. Now, Nlc chairman introduce your people.

Nlc chairman: Thanks, I humbly greet his excellency governor Olagoke and the commissioner. Thanks for your love for civil servants and for inviting us here.
(He introduced himself and others)
Sir, we are not here to fight like kids but to negotiate and make our feelings known to our governor. Sir, this is the sixth month we have not received our salary, arrears are not paid and our pensioners are complaining, this is the reason for our strike action and will continue if there is no solution.

Commissioner: Thank you.....

Governor: (cut in) Please be seated my commissioner. I want you Union to know something (raising his voice) you can not threaten me with your strike. Look ta the way you are talking. You all owe me, I have been working here for the past three years, I don't even have savings. The state is owing debts, the economy of the state is bad, so what do you want me to do. Should I kill myself or make myself money for you. The state does not have money.

(The union leaders began to murmur, talking in each other's hears)

Ok,ok,ok (calm). I don't want it to look like I am being harsh, wicked and inhumane. This is what I want you to understand, I love my workers, you all elected me here so I should satisfy you. I will pay your salaries, I just need your patience. Please go back home tell your people that Olagoke loves them, I promise that we will make amendment and between now and next week, you will get alerts. Am very sorry for the inconveniences.

Scene Two

(The commissioner is in the governor's office to see him concerning the strike)

Commissioner: (coming in) Your Excellency Sir, my powerfully governor, my able and amiable governor sir, the ever loving and governor, I greet you sir.

Governor: (they shake hands) thank you, you are welcomed. Hope there is no problem.

Commissioner: Your excellency, I have came because of the union's on strike. They sent me a letter.
( He gave the governor the letter and he glance through)

Governor: (vexed) what is this, they can't do anything, what is wrong with them. Go and tell them I don't have money to pay them, let them do there worst, go and tell them the state is in debt. Rubbish! Who are they to dare threaten me. You know what, arrange a meeting, I want to speak with all the representative. Please make it fast,, possibly tomorrow.

Commissioner: Ok sir, I will do that very fast sir.
