As a Nigerian growing up in childhoodd, it was hard to share my story particularly when you understand the risk involved in having a voice that "kills and hunts you within".

Don't be shocked yet! I know what I'm saying. Let me explain. Please follow me.

As a child, almost everyone around you who doesn't understand the power within you feels you're only putting up a show or frenzy when you seek to express your gift and talents. It's worst when parents don't comprehend the gift you carry. "Don't show up in the limelight! Don't get too excited about yourself! Don't constantly need a company around you! Do it yourself!"...and on.

Sooner you may not realize the script of your destiny is being written...wired into your subconscious mind. You become unaware you have built a ceiling above your mind. Even to lift your head above to be seen now sends cold waves of fear into your soul.

Your story matters. And only a greater dose of courage is required to lift you out of the dust of doubt, timidity and fear.

You have all it takes! Share your story with the world. You never know who needs your voice to live. Awaken from your sleep thou sleeper! You've long dwelt in this valley. Let's be going.

BE CAREFUL WHOM YOU CONFIDE IN

" Those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence". (Proverbs 11:13 NLT)

If you need help with a problem in your personal life, your family, or your career, keep the following things in mind:

1) Bad news is often remembered longer than good news. Long after you have resolved the issue and moved on with your life, the wrong people will continue to focus on it and talk about it. That's why God's word says, "those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence".

2) Be careful who advices you.
" The thought of the righteous are right, but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful". (Proverbs 12:5 NKJV).
Be sure you reach for the right person. There are many sources of wisdom in this world, " but the wisdom that is from above is ...pure... peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of Mercy and good fruits, without partiality and... hypocrisy" (James 3:17 NKJV). Note the word, 'the wisdom that is from above'. CONFIDE only in a counselor who walks according to the principles of God's word.

3) Make sure the person you trust isn't confiding in others you wouldn't trust. They say you can tell a man by the company he keeps. And it's true! The Bible says, " Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly". (Psalms 1:1 NKJV).

4) 'Problem talks' can portray you as a victim instead of an Overcomer. Nobody wants to back a loser. When Job lost everything, almost everybody avoided him. It's only after God doubled jobs blessings that they returned to participate in his life and bring him gifts. It's always wise to control your mouth, your thoughts, and your focus. Remember, " Silence can never be misquoted".

There is a value crisis ravaging Africa today!

Myriad of youths and no doubt the aged seek to be takers and not "blessers".

But even though he was the greatest king that ever existed in the human race. Even though he had the powers to command the cosmic powers, bodies and galaxies to do and accomplish his bidding without an iota of doubt. Even though death itself stood liveless when he stepped in. Yet the Lord did do something unbelievable. Follow me.

"and the napkin, which had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself"...John. 20:7.

He rolled or folded the napkin which supported his head neatly in a place. Something many would have argued that he being Lord over all should never have done.

Like I said, there's a value crisis ravaging Africa today!

That's why some selfish politicians will leave empty treasuries for their successors. That's why young teenagers today have resorted to languishing many lives in the name of getting rich fast without due consideration to the consequences to follow. That's why the spread of corruption in both public and private sectors are at its highest ebb. That's why citizens of the 3rd world countries are streaming out of their countries in search of better lands.

The obsession to leave things better than we found them is fast becoming a mirage. The "what's-in-it-for-me" syndrome has crippled the desire for service, patriotism and Goodwill.

You don't need to be appointed a central head(though it could be a possible means that aids) to add value. You can start at the very place you are. Start to add value even at the level you are even if it remains obscure.

One thing about value is it can not remain hidden for long...if you will commit to it!

If only we will commit to becoming deliberate about adding value to everyone and everything we both encounter and possess, a lot of the problems we face today would never exist in the first place.

Make it a Creed and a mandate to not spend a day without improving on both yourself and others. "We are to think on the good of others..."and not ourselves alone.

To the willing mind, nothing is impossible to achieve. Commit to ending the Value crisis today. Be a part of the change you want to see around you today.

I was saw a documentary about a Hippo disconnected from it bloat. It got attacked by a pride of hungry predators...Lion. They launched on the Hippo with little success. Hippos have one of the toughest skin and that the lion began to realize.

Having shot their shots to no avail, most gave up. But something stood out however. One Lioness refused to quit. She kept scratching the surface of the Hippos back with her canine teeth. Baffling enough, the prey remained totally motionless and unresponsive despite the pain and blood. I could imagine the Hippo saying, "thank you! Thank you so much for trying to injure me!".

Most of us are saying thank you to a lot of things that are killing us.

YOUTHS VS RITUAL KILLINGS

The rationale considerably promising teenagers bend towards "Yahoo plus" and cyber crime remains excruciatingly high.

In this region, the stats don't lie.

What it implies nonetheless Points to decay in the position of service.

From Childhood this folks see the rate of careless representation and mindless demand for money by the so-called clergymen.

Deep down they are reassured of their irrelevance when they can't furnish Cash.

Religion and politics will remain one of the most potent and lethal weapons of power and control.

What's more, the streaming population of sheepishly unguided youths swells amiss outrageous deliveries across growing pulpits and offices.

Why should the rate of ritual killings increase geometrically across the country while public servants and clergymen of reputable acclaim grow?

In Africa, almost all cling to religious disposition. Myriad yet shy away from political affiliations. Yet all are made to suffer the consequences of the concerns beyond nonchalance.

It's high time all hands get on deck.

The deeds of youths remains an indicator to failure of deteriorated systems.

It's time to sanction what needs to be sanctioned.

The silence of a graveyard in a world full of vibrant people remains an aversion.

JAKPA FROM NAIJA!

It's no news some youths In Nigeria won't even blink twice to travel out when the opportunity shows.

The misery index is at its highest ebb now. The hit of the pandemic has crept into many fabrics far and wide.

Is true the scorch left two sides. Some bleeding in their jobs, homes, and even pockets. And some others busy celebrating it.

Two sides of a coin!

Now it's easy to argue, better to remain ashore and fight. Make no mistake about it, however wise it seems to remain in Nigeria.

More often than not, It is the people in the diaspora that bring better development to their countries.

Why? Because they have tasted what having a working system really serves in a country.

Nehemiah built his country back from ruin after seeing the decay resident in diaspora. Daniel became great from serving in the diaspora. While it's great to try out strategies developed within our indigenous 3rd world capacity. It's even much better to implement better-proven strategies from 1st world countries.

To travel out in search of a better life is not a sin! I repeat. To travel out in search of better life is not a sin! Provided it is your destiny. Copy cats who seek better life fall into many problems. I won't explain.

Though some may persecute me for this post. I must speak what I know.

I don't fancy traveling out to live in Diaspora. I can't even think about it for once.

But, the truth remains...there are many whose lives and futures depend on it!

Come on! I mean what I'm saying.

Some futures can only be well nurtured when you are not in your country.

Take a good look at the sports industry with soccer as a case study. How many of those our stars would have attained the height they now enjoy If they remained in our country?

And, how many of our home based footballers ever make it to rank with their contemporaries playing abroad? I don't mean to degrade our domestic league players...but I'm only stating the obvious.

You may call me unpatriotic. But the truth is obvious in black and white.

My brother my sister, no need to compare yourself with who is ahead.

1st world country is not a backyard call. It's a great opportunity. So when you know you must travel out to live your dreams, my brother...no look face o, do it!

However, don't undertake gamblers' travel. Make we go there try. That is for gamblers. No magnitude. No direction. No plan. Just trial and error.

You go there and start to comb the street with bare legs hustling for crumbs...whether old or new. Then like the prodigal son, you start missing your country when winter, heat, and decay start tormenting and torturing.

So, Jakpa if you know you are meant for such. But, have a legit and solid reason and backup for your effort.

I am not afraid to ruffle feathers. And you don't have to agree with me. This is my opinion stated.
