Instead the group endorses peaceful negotiations between government, companies, and locals. Demands a platform for local needs to be better understood and better provided for by the government of the people

The Ijaw Monitoring Group is proud to celebrate the birthday of Comrade Evah, our esteemed boss and mentor. Comrade Evah has been an invaluable leader of the IMG and the Niger Delta at large, providing leadership, guidance, support, and inspiration to all Niger Delta youths.
On this special occasion, we want to express our gratitude and admiration to you…Comrade Evah. You have not only been a great leader but also a great friend and brother to us. We appreciate you for creating the hub of activity at the Niger Delta Centre in Ketu - Alapere, Lagos. Your vision, values and fury towards injustice have been a source of inspiration and motivation for us in the Ijaw Monitoring Group. Your detribalized leadership style has created a Niger Delta community and a culture for the promotion of Niger Delta affairs in Lagos, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among the tribes of Niger Delta in Lagos.
As you embark on this new chapter as a foremost Niger Delta cm Nigerian activist, we are confident that your wisdom and experience will continue to guide and inspire us all. We are grateful to have you as a mentor and friend…an exceptional grassroots leader.
