đźš« DRUG ABUSE, SUBSTANCE ABUSE & ILLICIT TRAFFICKING AWARENESS MONTH
Every child deserves a safe, healthy, and drug-free future.
This June, Rhoda Serene Care Foundation joins the global movement to raise awareness on the dangers of drug abuse, substance abuse, and illicit trafficking, while promoting prevention, education, counseling, and community support.
Through school visitations, community awareness campaigns, parent sensitization forums, youth dialogue sessions, social media advocacy, and dignity & hope outreach programs, we are empowering children, young people, and families to make informed choices and build resilient futures.
We invite individuals, organizations, schools, faith-based institutions, and corporate bodies to partner with us in protecting children and youth from the devastating effects of drug abuse.
Together, we can create safer communities and brighter futures.

✨ DIGNITY FOR EVERY GIRL: A DAY OF LEARNING, EMPOWERMENT, AND HOPE ✨
Our World Menstrual Hygiene Day outreach, Dignity for Every Girl, was more than an event—it was a safe space where girls were informed, empowered, and inspired.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive sessions on menstrual hygiene management, self-esteem and confidence building, mental health, child protection, gender-based violence awareness, and sexual and reproductive health education. The girls asked thoughtful questions, shared experiences, and gained practical knowledge to help them make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
To encourage a culture of reading and continuous learning, educational books was distributed to participants, equipping them with resources they can continue to learn from long after the event.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement through games, and other fun activities that promoted learning while building confidence and participation.
One of the highlights of the outreach was the distribution of dignity kits, ensuring that girls have access to essential menstrual hygiene materials and can manage their periods with dignity and confidence.
We are grateful to our partners, supporters, volunteers, facilitators, and everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success. Together, we are raising informed, confident, healthy, and empowered girls.
👍 Every girl deserves dignity.
👍 Every girl deserves opportunity.
👍Every girl deserves to thrive.

🌿 Happy New Month from Rhoda Serene Care Foundation! 🌿
As we step into a new month, we pray for God's protection, safety, and peace over every child and family.
May every child be shielded from harm, abuse, neglect, and all forms of danger. May homes be filled with love, understanding, and hope. May children find safe spaces to learn, grow, dream, and thrive, while parents and caregivers receive the wisdom and strength to nurture them well.
At Rhoda Serene Care Foundation, we remain committed to promoting child protection, mental well-being, education, and dignity for every child.
May this month bring healing where there is pain, hope where there is despair, and opportunities where there are challenges.
Together, let us continue building a world where every child is safe, valued, and empowered.
Happy New Month!

This year, as we commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 with the theme “Together for a Period-Friendly World,” Rhoda Serene Care Foundation and Arise for Girls is creating a safe and supportive space where girls can learn, ask questions freely, heal from stigma, and gain the confidence they deserve.
Many girls have questions they are too afraid or ashamed to ask:
Is it normal to feel pain during menstruation?
Why is my period irregular?
Can I go to school or exercise during my period?
How often should I change my sanitary pad?
What causes menstrual cramps?
Can poor menstrual hygiene lead to infections? etc
Sadly, many girls grow up without accurate answers, support, or access to menstrual products. This silence often leads to shame, low self-esteem, isolation, school absenteeism, and emotional distress.
At this year’s outreach, our goal is not only to distribute sanitary pads, but to build a where every girl feels seen, heard, supported, and empowered.
Through interactive sessions and safe conversations, we will focus on:
Menstrual health education and awareness
Proper WASH practices (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)
Personal hygiene and safe menstrual management
Mental health and emotional well-being during menstruation
Ending period poverty and stigma
Building self-esteem and confidence in girls
Abuse prevention and body safety education
Creating supportive environments where girls can speak without fear
Encouraging school attendance and equal opportunities for girls
We believe no girl should feel ashamed of a natural process. No girl should lose her confidence because of period poverty. And no girl should face menstruation alone.
Together, we can break the silence.
Together, we can restore dignity.
Together, we can build a Period-Friendly World.
Today, we join the world to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 with the theme: “Together for a Period-Friendly World.”
At Rhoda Serene Care Foundation and Arise for Girls, we believe no girl should miss opportunities, education, confidence, or dignity because of her period.
Together, we can break stigma, end period poverty, promote menstrual health education, and create safe, supportive environments for girls and women everywhere.
Menstruation is natural. Dignity is a right.
Let’s build a period-friendly world together. 💜
Rhoda Serene Care Foundation joined Glorious Heart Foundation NG, Raising Champion Children Initiative, and other child protection NGOs to celebrate Children’s Day at Isale-Oro Community.
The outreach was aimed at promoting child safety, protection, and inclusion, while giving children a strong sense of belonging and support within their community.
Several children from the community gathered at the event venue to participate in various educational and engaging activities, including discussions on child abuse, its different forms, bullying, and the importance of speaking up.
One of the most impactful sessions of the event provided children with a safe space to speak one-on-one with counselors. They were encouraged to express themselves freely, ask questions, and seek guidance in a supportive environment.
The celebration also featured fun-filled activities such as games, music, dance, inspiring moments, gifts, and exciting surprises for the children.
The event received additional support from the Child Protection Network.
As Nigeria celebrates Children’s Day, our hearts are heavy over the recent kidnapping of schoolchildren in parts of the country. Reports from Oyo and Borno States revealed that dozens of innocent children were abducted from their schools — a painful reminder that many children are still living in fear instead of freedom.
Every child deserves safety, education, love, and hope for a better future. On this Children’s Day, let us not only celebrate children, but also speak up for their protection, pray for those still in captivity, and work together to build a safer Nigeria for every child.
Happy Children’s Day to every child. You are precious, valued, and deserve to flourish in peace.
