It’s Breast feeding week and I’m here just marveling at God’s wonderful creation: the WOMAN!!! My breastfeeding experience wasn’t what I imagined it to be…
My first child was a preemie baby and was in NICU the first weeks of her life. She was just too little and her weight gain was essential. Any exertion on her part was to be avoided so rather than have her suck milk, she was syringe or spoon fed.
With my second, I had every intention of all out breastfeeding… I bought everything I could to make it easy and comfortable. He had other plans! He would clamp his mouth shut the moment he was put to suck but would gulp down a bottle in seconds if given the chance. Needless to say, I got my money’s worth on my breast pump(s).
From growing and housing to bringing forth then feeding and nurturing another human being, the woman’s body does so much and more…
In all this, we’re are able to wear our scars as crowns and are more so beautiful for it
