Headline: DRIVING EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE THROUGH COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP
The quest for qualitative primary education in our community received a major boost today. The Education Secretary of Amuwo-Odofin LGEA, Hon. Salako Omotosho Rasaq, hosted a strategic stakeholders' engagement to address the challenges bedeviling the education sector in Amuwo-Odofin and Oriade LCDA.
We were honoured to have in attendance:
✅ Hon. Rasaq Olojede, Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA.
✅ Comrade Adewale Ayodele, Distinguished Chairman Emeritus (Former Chairman, Amuwo-Odofin LGA).
The meeting was truly inclusive, featuring LGEA Heads of Sections, School Managers, and our dedicated Teaching and Non-Teaching staff.
With leadership and grassroots educators working in synergy, we are set to transform the learning experience for every child in our domain. Encomium and Appreciation were showered on the visible impacts of Honourable Olojede Rasaq- the Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development, Area and the Executive Chairman, Amuwo Odofin LGA-Hon. Lanre Sanusi for their efforts towards quality education in ORIADE LCDA cm AMUWO ODOFIN LGA.

Earlier today, the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), led by the Education Secretary, Honourable Salako OMOTOSHO RASAQ, held its 2nd Term Y25/26 Management Meeting.
The ES, alongside Departmental Heads of Sections (HOSs), hosted School Managers at the LGEA Hall to set the tone for the new academic session.

✨ Key Highlights from the Meeting:
Gratitude & Vision: Hon. Salako Omotosho Rasaq began by expressing gratitude to God for the new year, offering prayers for a fruitful and impactful term for both staff and pupils.

Professionalism & Discipline: A strong emphasis was placed on Time Management, Punctuality, and Regularity. The Education Secretary reminded all managers that "time is the soul of productivity."
Elevating Standards: The meeting delved into critical areas of school improvement, including:
Enhancing Teacher Productivity and maintaining an Ideal School Tone.
Ensuring Conducive Learning Environments and prioritizing School Safety Measures.
Upholding the Staff Dress Code and fostering a culture of Teamwork & Collaboration.
Zero Tolerance for Insubordination: Leadership stressed the importance of hierarchy, mutual respect, and professional conduct to ensure a harmonious working environment.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from the School Managers to implement these models effectively in their respective schools.

A big shoutout to our esteemed leader, Hon. Salako Omotsho Rasak, the Education Secretary, for his vision and leadership. 👏 We also appreciate the presence and support of the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary Education District V, Snr. Comrade Hassan Dauda, HOSs, and all dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Education Secretary, Amuwo Odofin LGEA, Hon. Salako Omotosho Rasaq, visited teachers undergoing professional development training organized by the Lagos State HOPE EDU Program, presented by the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board.

The theme of the training was "Improved Structured Pedagogy Practices for Basic Education Teachers."

During his visit, the Education Secretary urged trainees to cooperate with facilitators and maintain professional ethics throughout the training period.

Those in attendance included Mrs. Siyanbola Olufunke, Head of Section, Basic Education Quality Assurance, Amuwo Odofin LGEA, other staff members from BEQA Amuwo Odofin LGEA, the facilitators (Dr. Ismail and Dr. Mrs. Melekewi)

The training aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of basic education teachers, ultimately improving the quality of education in Lagos State.

AMUWO ODOFIN LOCAL GOVERNMENT EDUCATION AUTHORITY MANAGEMENT MEETING WITH THE EDUCATION SECRETARY - HON. SALAKO OMOTOSHO RASAQ HELD ON THE 20TH OCTOBER, 2025.

The Education Secretary convened a management meeting with LGEA Heads of Sections (HOS) and staff, focusing on key areas for improvement:
- *Staff Conduct*: Emphasis on punctuality, regularity, and a positive attitude towards official assignments.
- *Security and Property Maintenance*: Staff were reminded to be security conscious and maintain LGEA properties.

A minute's silence was observed in honour of late staff members, Mr. Eletu Abiodun and Mrs. Badmus Risiqat, who passed away while in service. Support was pledged for their families, and condolences were extended.

The meeting also covered:
- *LGEA Updates*: Security consciousness, sanitation, and environmental maintenance.
- *Renovation Progress*: The Education Secretary shared updates on LASUBEB's visit to Alternative Girls College and partial intervention on LGEA building.
- *Financial Report*: A social sectional financial report was presented.
- *Year-End Event Planning*: The committee deliberated on the Y25 social event, including modalities, attire, and menu.

The meeting concluded at 1:30 pm.
