Hurray! September is here!

September reminds us that there is still time to make the choices that matter. Every new month naturally creates a moment of reflection. We look at where we are, what we have learned, and what we can do better.

That mindset is important, not because everything changes overnight, but because consistent small decisions eventually produce visible results.

As we welcome the ninth month of the year, my wish is simple: May our families find peace, may our businesses and livelihoods receive new strength, and may our country continue to move forward.

Let us not lose sight of the values that hold us together—kindness, responsibility, accountability and genuine concern for one another.

To the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA , I wish you a September filled with good health, meaningful progress and better possibilities.

May this month give us more reasons to believe that better days are worth working for.

Happy New Month!

Sometimes, it sits comfortably in the things we have stopped questioning. We see someone working every day and still struggling to afford the basics, and we say, “At least they have something.”

We see a young person full of ideas, energy and ambition, but without access to the opportunities that could change their circumstances, and we simply say, “Keep trying.” We see communities that have heard the same promises for years, yet still lack the things that should never have been considered luxuries in the first place. We shake our heads, complain for a while, and eventually move on.

That is how exploitation survives. Not necessarily because nobody sees it, but because people become accustomed to it. There is a difference between helping people survive and creating conditions in which they can actually thrive.

There is also a difference between serving people and keeping people dependent. When someone's hardship becomes useful to another person, institution or political structure, we should pause and ask difficult questions.

Who benefits from this situation remaining unchanged? Who has the power to alter it? Who keeps asking for patience? And who keeps paying the price for that patience?

These are not comfortable questions, but responsible citizens and leaders cannot always choose comfortable conversations. As we begin this week, I hope we become more observant of the things we have unconsciously accepted as normal.

Let us question systems that diminish human dignity. Let us recognise when temporary relief is being presented as a permanent solution. Let us demand opportunities that give people a stronger footing instead of making them permanently dependent on someone else's generosity.

People do not need to be pitied into submission. They need to be respected, heard and given a fair chance. Sometimes, the first step toward changing an unjust reality is simply refusing to pretend that it is normal.

Have a thoughtful and productive Week!

EID-EL-MALUD | A CELEBRATION OF FAITH AND TOGETHERNESS

Today, I join my Muslim brothers and sisters in Ajeromi Ifelodun and across Nigeria to celebrate Eid-El-Malud with gratitude and goodwill. The life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) offers enduring lessons in compassion, patience, humility and peaceful coexistence. These are values that remain important in building a stronger and more united society.

As we celebrate, my prayer is that every Muslim family finds peace in their homes, strength in their faith and renewed hope for the days ahead.

May this sacred occasion remind us that beyond our differences, we share a common humanity and a responsibility to care for one another.

Eid Mubarak. May Allah bless you, your families and Ajeromi Ifelodun.

On behalf of the Keeping Hope Alive Foundation, I sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed to the success of our Food Support Programme for widows held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA.

The outreach was made possible through the vision, personal commitment and financial support of our Founder, Hon. Emilia Abiodun Ezeude, alongside the support of individuals who believed in the purpose of the initiative.

What we witnessed was more than the distribution of food items. It was a reminder that compassion becomes meaningful when it is translated into action, and that supporting people in need is a responsibility we can all share.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed financially, volunteered their time, provided resources or supported the programme in one way or another. Every contribution, regardless of its size, played a role in making the outreach possible.

While this particular programme focused on widows, the vision of the Keeping Hope Alive Foundation goes beyond this single outreach. The foundation is committed to supporting young people, widows and other vulnerable members of society through initiatives that promote empowerment, opportunity, dignity and improved quality of life.

This is only the beginning. As we move forward, we are looking to build meaningful partnerships with individuals, organisations and international partners who share our vision and are willing to contribute to sustainable community development.

With the right partnerships and collective commitment, we believe we can reach more people, create more opportunities for young people and provide meaningful support to vulnerable communities.

More programmes and initiatives will be unveiled as new partners come on board. We look forward to building a foundation that does not only give hope, but creates opportunities for people to move forward.

Thank you for believing in the vision, supporting the work and helping us keep hope alive.

KEEPING HOPE ALIVE FOUNDATION: A GESTURE OF SUPPORT FOR WIDOWS

The Keeping Hope Alive Foundation is inviting widows across Ajeromi-Ifelodun to a special Food Support Programme scheduled to take place on 13 August 2026.

The outreach is part of the foundation’s effort to provide practical support to women who have faced the challenges and responsibilities that come with widowhood. The programme will feature the distribution of essential food items, alongside an opportunity for the foundation and members of the community to connect with the beneficiaries.

The initiative is built around a simple message: support matters, and no one should feel forgotten. For many widows, the daily responsibility of caring for their families can be demanding, making gestures of assistance and solidarity particularly meaningful.

The ADC house of representatives candidate, Ajeromi -Ifelodun Federal Constitutency, Hon. Emilia Abiodun Ezeude will be joining the foundation for the programme, which is expected to bring together widows from the community in an atmosphere of care, dignity and encouragement.

Widows are warmly invited to attend and be part of the outreach.

There is something powerful about starting a week with a clear sense of purpose. We may not know everything the days ahead will bring, but we can choose the kind of mark we want to leave on the people around us.

Public service, to me, is about remembering that behind every statistic is a person, behind every society is a story, and behind every concern is a voice that deserves to be heard.

As we begin another week, let us look beyond what separates us and pay more attention to what we can build together.

Progress does not always arrive with a grand announcement. Sometimes, it begins with listening, showing up, lending a hand and doing what is right when no one is watching.

May this week bring you renewed strength, good news and opportunities to make a difference.

Have a beautiful and productive week ahead!

"Life has an unspoken law: it never promises an easy journey, but it always rewards a faithful heart. Every sunrise is a reminder that yesterday has released its grip, and today is another opportunity to become wiser, stronger, and better."

As this new month unfolds, may you never lack the courage to pursue what is right, the wisdom to recognise opportunities, or the strength to rise above every challenge. May your labour attract favour, your prayers receive swift answers, and your waiting season give way to joyful celebration.

Never underestimate the power of quiet perseverance. Rivers do not force their way through rocks with noise, but with consistency. In the same way, your persistence, integrity, and faith will take you where shortcuts never can.

As you journey through August, may every burden become lighter, every obstacle become a stepping stone, and every new day bring reasons to be grateful. May God's mercy go ahead of you, His favour surround you, and His grace sustain you until every good desire of your heart becomes a living testimony.

May August be remembered as the month where hope became reality, prayers turned into testimonies, and ordinary days blossomed into extraordinary blessings.

Happy New Month!

I AM A WOMAN .

I carry strength with compassion and lead with purpose.

I believe that true leadership begins with listening, serving, and uplifting others.

I am a builder of homes, a voice for families, and a partner in the progress of our communities.

Challenges do not define me—they prepare me to serve with courage, wisdom, and resilience.

I stand for opportunity, dignity, and a future where every woman, every youth, and every family has a fair chance to thrive.

I choose unity over division, service over self, and action over empty promises.

My commitment is simple: to represent the people with integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

I am Hon. Emilia Abiodun Ezeude.

Together, let us build a stronger, more prosperous Ajeromi-Ifelodun for everyone.

The streets have been saying, "No gree for anybody." I smiled the first time I heard it because, in truth, life itself has been teaching us that lesson for years.
But here's my own version: No gree make anybody borrow your trust without earning it.

Not everybody wey dey call himself solution, na solution be. Some people know how to package themselves. They know the right words, the right timing, and the right performance. But when the lights go off, only character remains.

This week, don't be carried away by appearances. Listen with your ears, but judge with your mind. Respect people, but don't surrender your discernment.

No gree for manipulation. No gree for division. No gree for fear. No gree for anyone who wants to profit from your pain. Instead, choose hope over hatred. Choose wisdom over excitement. Choose people whose lifestyle matches their promises.

Our community deserves leadership built on service, not showmanship, on sincerity, not slogans. May this new week strengthen your faith, sharpen your wisdom, and open doors that no one can shut.

Keep your head up, keep your heart clean, and keep moving forward.

Happy New Week!
