Interesting Read

Shaykh Waleed saw an interview with an Emerati businessman. They asked him, “You
have so much experience in life, can you tell us something that had a great impact on
your life?”

He said, “One day around ‘aṣr time, I left my house and was walking in the
street and went to the masjid. I saw a Yemeni guy who was making du‘ā’ inside the
masjid. The prayer had already finished and he was alone. I felt so jealous of the way he
was making du‘ā’ because I never in my life felt so into my du‘ā’ like this man.”
[Sometimes when you make du‘ā’ and pray to Allāh, at certain moments you feel so
close to Him and at other times we feel distant and don’t feel a connection to Allāh.]

“I could hear his voice mixed with tears and kept quiet until he finished. When he was
done, I approached him and asked if I could help him. He said, ‘I am in trouble.
My wife is scheduled for surgery, but she will not be able to have it until she pays the fee.’ I
asked how much it was, and when he told me, I said I would take care of it. I gave him
the money.
The moment he received the money, he immediately made sujūd. He didn’t
even thank me but went immediately into sujūd to thank Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta‘āla)
first. After that, he said thank you to me and made du‘ā’ for me.

I thought that he was an honest man and asked him if he needed any more money, and he said no. I wrote
my cell phone number on my business card and gave it to him and told him to feel free
to call me if he needed any help in the future. He smiled and gave it back to me and
said, ‘Thank you, sir. I know Who to call to help me in the future. I will call Who sent
you to me.’

Curled from: Fiqh of Dua-Adhkar

Points to note from the story:
1. He asked Allah first.
2. After he got help, he thanked Allah first.
3. He put his complete trust in Allah and not people.

🌹 As-Salamu-Alaikum & do have a wonderful week ahead.

*Always* *remember*:

Allah never fail those who put their trust in HIM.

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, turned to us and said, “O emigrants, there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with Allah lest you live to see them:

(i) sexual immorality never appears among people to such an extent that they commit it openly except that they will be afflicted by plagues and diseases (e.g AIDS and etc) unknown to their forefathers;

(ii) they do not cheat in weights and measures (business, trades, etc) except that they will be stricken with famine, calamity, and the oppression of rulers;

(iii) they do not withhold charity from their wealth except that rain will be withheld from the sky, and were it not for the animals there would be no rain at all;

(iv) they do not break their covenant with Allah and His Messenger except that Allah will enable their enemies to overpower them and take some of what is in their hands;

(v) and unless their leaders rule according to the Book of Allah and seek every good from that which Allah has revealed, then Allah will cause them to fight one another.”

I BURIED MY FATHER

I buried my beloved father on Saturday 3rdDecember, 2016 with prayers. No food, no drinks. I cant bury my father and bury my money.

The funeral ceremony was a one-day affair (janazah and fidau). No 3rd day or 7th day prayer. I will pray for him everyday of my life. The whole ceremony was simple and not expensive. I took no loan. I didnt borrow one kobo. It only cost me canopies and chairs.

There were no drinks, no music and no dancing at my father's funeral. How could I dance on my father's grave? I slaughtered no single cow, not even a chicken when I buried my father. I cannot afford to live a false life. I remain oppressed.

But now I feel relaxed. I am emboldened. No creditor can knock on my door because I took no loan to bury my father. I stayed within my limit.

Bury me when I die. Bury me like I buried my father. Bury me like I lived. Bury me the way I love. No noise, no music, no drinks, no dancing. Bury me as a Muslim.

Islamophobia has been there from the very inception of the Message Of Muhammad.
The first people he approached with the message of Islam were his family members,
his grand father, uncles, cousins, wife and so on. His uncles almost s**t their pants,
especially Abu Lahab. The fear was that they were going to loose power, stop
oppressing and taking advantage of the weak, slavery is going to come to an end,
women are no longer considered as property and the list goes on.
His uncles related their fears to their colleges in crime, and before you know it, the
elites in the city of Makka were in panic.
In those days, if someone lends you money and you were unable to pay on time, you
become his slave or you give out one of your children to him as slaves. Does that
not sound familiar? Is that not what the western run IMF and World banks are doing
today on a mega large scale? Economically enslaving countries that are not able to
pay their debts on time?
The Qur'an actually stipulates war against anyone that lends money to another
human being and expects to be paid back on interest. The poor fellow comes to you
to borrow 5 Naira, because he does not have 5 Naira in the first place, and you want
him to pay you back 10 Naira, which is 5 Naira extra, are you trying to turn him into a
magician? A community in debt is not a community at all, and that is how armed
rubbery and other vices come into life.
"O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah. that ye
may (really) prosper.” (Quran 3:130)
“O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and give up what remains of your demand for usury, if
ye are indeed believers. If ye do it not, Take notice of war from Allah and His
Messenger. But if ye turn back, ye shall have your capital sums: Deal not unjustly,
and ye shall not be dealt with unjustly.” (Quran 2:278-279)
Rather the Qur'an asks the lender to be patient and linient to the borrower, and even
give him time if he is unable to pay, until there comes a time he is able

THE OFFICE CRUSH
One of the greatest tests of imaan for the 21st century muslim men is the one
they
face at work. First, you have to search for a job that will not take away your
religious
values; where you can take regular breaks to observe dhur and asr without being
marked awol, where you can keep your beard and nisfusaq without being labeled
ISIS...
Then, there's the worst part: working with sc****ly dressed, heavily made-up and
intensely perfumed female colleagues who daily, flaunt themselves at you and
other
male coworkers. God help you if you happen to be a tall and handsome alfa with
pink lips and a dandy sense of fashion. Those witches will not let you rest until
you,
at least smile back at them or laugh at their cheap jokes.
Who am I to tell you to quit that job? Not even in this recession. I only have one
advice for you, yah Akhee: fear Allaah! Minimize jokes and unnecessary interactions
with ladies in the office. Keep it formal. Sexual harassment within the office is
real,
and ladies are not always the victims; they could indeed, be the culprits.
It was narrated by Anas ibn Malik that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saw)say:
‘The eye commits ‘zina’, and the palm of the hand, the foot, the body, the tongue
and private part confirms it or denies it.’
Once again, brother, fear Allaah!

Bismillah..

I have always wondered why we belittle issues that could be fatal to our marriage.

I have always wondered why singles are not taking a cue from the lessons learnt by those who have passed through divorce

It beats my imagination to see how the number of people of good character and personality ending up in divorce increases day by day.

Is it that we don't actually look for the right qualities when we are looking for a partner or when we are being approached by suitors?

Is it that we send good people, whose
body structure and financial status do not go in line with our fantasies, away?

Are you a single sister still waiting for a TTD(Thick tall and dark) brother? Or are you a brother looking for a tall, light skinned sister with a sharp looking figure eight? Hmmnn...*Pensive*

What is it that is disturbing your marital life? What are the the things you should discuss and agree on before tying the knots with ur fiance?

Alhamdulillah you are married...has your partner changed from good to bad? Or is your partner of over 30years now showing his/her true identity?

Why don't you join us at the book launch of Aisha Adams' 'The white elephant' - which is going to be held tomorrow (30/10/2016) at the Bab-us-salaam orphanage, 14 Joel Ogunnaike str, Ikeja - to discuss these issues and more?

We have discovered that 80% of the things that cause marital somersaults are things we knew before tying the knots but chose to ignore.

Let's discuss, let's save ourselves from the dangers of marriage.

With N3000 as registration fee you will in shaa Allaah get a free signed copy of the book, light refreshment, and the benefit of supporting a good cause as we raise funds to support Siddiqah Organisation.

Hijrah celebration???
All praise is to Allaah. Peace and Blessings upon Muhammad.
We have indeed found some of our brethren over time calling to hijrah celebration
and attaching it to the religion.
Their evidences:
1) Some of them claim that the religion does not need to be taken with rigidity. This
is because if the Non-Muslims can be celebrating new year, Easter, Christmas and
so on, which the religion forbids us from partaking in, then there is nothing wrong if
the hijrah new year can be taken as a form of celebration to draw Muslims attention
away from the celebrations of the Non-Muslims.
We say:
There is no rigidity in Islaam. Attributing rigidity to Islaam is only an action from
ignorance and self desires. There are only two forms of celebration legislated in
Islaam which the Muslims must be contented with: Eidul Adhaa and Eidul fitr.
More so, the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon him) has warned us as
established in authentic narrations reported by the Ashaabu Ssunan that: Indeed you
(Muslims) will follow the sunnah (ways) of those before you; hands span by hands
span, arms length by arms length; such that if they enter into a lizard hole, you will
enter with them. They said: The Jews and Christians? He (Peace and Blessings upon
him) responded: Who else!
From the above hadeeth, it is clear that the Muslims have been prohibited from
following the disbelieving people in what they do. Why can't Muslims understand that
We are upon the truth and the disbelievers should imitate us and not us imitating
them. We shouldn't however be surprised if some Muslims begin Father Ileya in the
future at the rate at which the imitation of the disbelievers is increasing.
2) Some of them claim that there is nothing wrong in gathering ourselves to thank
Allaah for witnessing a new year, thereby seeking from Allaah more years to come
as established in his statement (interpretation of meaning) that: # And if you are
grateful We will surely add more for you #
We say:
It is unanimously agreed with the Scholars of Islaam that celebration in the religion
is At-tawqeefiyyah (based on Allaah's legislation and as explained by His Messenger
through his sunnah). So, in which verse can we find the commandment of gathering
ourselves to celebrate hijrah new year and from which hadeeth can We find the
modulation of this celebration? Unlike eidul adhaa and fitr that have their
modulations established in the two mentioned sources. The companions who
witnessed the beginning of the counting of the hijrah never celebrated a new year;
perhaps the Muslims who celebrate the hijrah new year are better than the
companions in hastening towards good and more knowledgeable than them!!!
3) Some others claim that Umar Bn khattaab (May Allaah be pleased with him)
started the count of the hijrah year which is a good innovation. So, celebrating what
a companion already started is not an innovation.
We say:
Yes! Of course Umar Bn Khattaab, Ameerul Mu'mineen introduced the counting But
his action was not an innovation let alone calling it a good innovation. We should
note that there is no space for innovation in the religion because the religion has
been perfected by Allaah and the Messenger has completed his explanations of the
religious duties.
More so, it is just as the statement of some people regarding the compilation of the
Qur'aanic verses into a book. This is never an innovation because the evidence is
the statement of Allaah (interpretation of meaning) in sooratul baqorah: # That is
the book that has no doubt in it, a guidance for the pious #
So, Allaah already called it a book Himself, Azza wajal. Therefore, from the reasons
why Umar's action is not from innovation are:
1) The Messenger of ALlaah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) has admonished the
Muslims greatly upon holding on to his sunnah and the sunnah of the Four rightly
guided caliphs after him. Therefore, if Umar Bn Khattaab is rightly guided by Allaah,
then his action will never be regarded as an innovation.
2) The companions have a consensus over the action of Umar just as related from
AbduLlaah Bn Mas'ood by Imaam Ahmad that: Whatsoever the Muslims (the
Companions) see as good is indeed good with Allaah.
We admonish ourselves with holding on to the Qur'aan and Sunnah upon the
understanding of the pious predecessors; and abandoning desires.

When Quran was banned in Russia.

In 1973 communism was at its peak in Russia, whole world was saying that sooner whole Asia will turn red. At that time a Pakistani Muslim went to Russia for training. This is his story
He said that on Friday he asked his friends to get ready for Jumma prayer. They said Mosques are turned into storage in this country, few mosques are turned into motels for tourists, only one or two mosques in this city are kept as they were. Even they are close most of the times. I asked them to just guide me toward a mosque. When I reached there the mosque was closed. A person in neighborhood had its keys, I requested him to open its gate so that i can say my prayer.
He : Okay i will open the gate for you but I'm not responsible if you will face any harm.
Me : Brother! I was a Muslim in Pakistan and shell remain a Muslim in Moscow too. I prayed in karachi, Pakistan and I shell pray in Moscow Russia too no matter what.
He opened the door and i saw Mosque was in bad shape. I cleaned it in a hurry and tried to make it as good as i could in limited time. After that i said call for prayer (Azaan) in loud voice. Many old people, women and children gathered on the door of the mosque when they heard the call for prayer but no one came inside. I wasn't able to say juma prayer cause i was alone but i did said my Zuhar prayer. When I came out people were looking at me as I've done some thing new.
A kid came to me and invited me to his home for tea. His voice had such sincerity that i wasn't able to refuse so i went to his home. People there cooked different dishes for me and were extremely happy. I had my lunch and after tea i asked a little kid who was sitting there that if he can recite Quran?
Kid : Yes sir! we all know how to recite Quran.
I opened my pocket Quran, placed my finger on a verse and asked him to recite it to me.
That kid looked at me, then looked at Quran and then look toward his parents. I thought "he don't know how to read but then why he said that he can?"
I recited that verse
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ
and that kid started recited ahead without even looking at the Quran. I was shocked, looked toward his parents and asked what is this?
They smiled and told me that "Quran is banned here. If a person is caught having even a single verse of Quran his whole family is killed. Thats why we cant keep Quran in our homes.
Me : If no one here have even a single copy of Quran then how come this kid memorized it?
They : We have many Hafiz e Quran here doing different jobs. Some of them are tailors, some are shop keeper, some are farmers and some sells vegetables. So we send our kids to them pretending that they are there for work but in reality they are memorizing Quran there. Thats why even though we don't have even a single copy of Quran but all the kids you see here and in all the Muslim families are hafiz. So when you put your finger on a verse, the kid was not able to read it but when you recited it then he recited whole chapter. And you stopped him otherwise he was going to recite whole Quran.

That day i saw not one but many miracles of Quran. A society where Quran was banned, whole generation became hafiz. I tested this thing on many kids. All were hafiz.
That day i truly understood the meaning of the verse
إِنَّا نَحنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ
(15:9) Assuredly, We alone have revealed this Glorious Admonition (the Qur’an), and surely We alone will guard it.

People can ban copies of Quran but how can they ban whats in heart.
Please share it. Its worth it.
