Apart from providing in-patient and out-patient care, the Hospital carries out health promotion activities, engages in the training of different categories of health workers particularly interns/house officers and students from various tertiary institutions on practical attachment. It also, provides operational support to the Western Naval Fleet and engages in regimental duties. The NNRH Ojo currently offers a wide range of medical and dental services at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care. The hospital services are organized into various departments. These include clinical departments of Surgery, Internal medicine, Paediatics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Ophthalmology, Infectious Diseases Clinic, Psychiatric clinic and Dentistry. Others are physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radio-diagnosis and Health Information Management Departments. The hospital also has two units which are tender to it. These units are located at Navy Barracks Okoko and Gowon estate Ipaja. The tender units provide health care at primary level. They are designed to cater for the naval community at the barracks where they are located.
