In a show of gratitude and recognition, the Acting Principal/Administrator of Government Junior College, Ketu–Epe, Mrs Adefuye Abiodun presented gifts to appreciate the dedication and commitment of the school’s teachers.

Our students are actively participating in the school’s co-curricular activities, with the Girls’ Guide and other uniformed groups proudly on display. The session showcased the commitment, discipline, and enthusiasm of our students beyond the classroom.

Students are encouraged to be part of groups such as the Boys’ Scout, Girls’ Guide, Sheriff Guide, Girls’ Brigade, Red Cross and Cutter Guide, all aimed at building character and promoting service to the community.

These activities play an important role in developing leadership skills, teamwork, confidence and self-discipline, helping our students grow into responsible and capable future leaders.

At Government Junior College, Ketu–Epe, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom as we continue to nurture well-rounded students.

International Women’s Day at Government Junior College, Ketu–Epe 💜

In commemoration of International Women’s Day, members of staff of Government Junior College, Ketu–Epe appeared in purple today to celebrate and show support for women and girls. The celebration created a moment of reflection, encouragement and inspiration for our students.

During the gathering, the female students were encouraged to remain focused, confident and determined to grow into strong and successful women in the future. They were reminded that women today are making remarkable impact and occupying leadership positions across different sectors of society.

They were also encouraged to look up to successful women across different career fields such as Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria First Lady and Entrepreneur, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, First Lady of Lagos State and a Medical Doctor, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in Economics and Global Leadership, Amina J. Mohammed in International Diplomacy and Public Service, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in Literature and Creative Arts, Ibukun Awosika in Business and Entrepreneurship, and Adaora Umeoji in Banking and Corporate Leadership. These women serve as great examples of determination, excellence and leadership.

The message to our girls is clear, dream big, work hard and believe in your potential.

Kitchen vibes at Government Junior College, Ketu–Epe 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🔥

Our students stepped into the kitchen for a Home Economics practical session, and the results were amazing. From mixing and frying to plating, they learned how to prepare crispy chin chin, tasty egg roll and delicious fish roll. 😋

Beyond the cooking, they were also taught proper kitchen standards, cleanliness and hygiene, because great food always starts with a clean and organized kitchen.

Safe to say the kitchen was full of learning, teamwork and some seriously good snacks. Who else is craving chin chin right now? 😄

Throwback Thursday 🎉

Throwback to the proud moment when Government Junior College, Ketu–Epe emerged 1st Position in the Junior Category at the Lagos State Inter-Public Schools Debate Championship 5.0 (Epe Division).

Our brilliant students displayed confidence, intelligence and outstanding debating skills to secure victory with the highest points, standing out among 16 competing schools.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, the guidance of our teachers and the strong academic culture we uphold as one of the leading model schools in Lagos. We remain proud of our champions and wish them greater success at the state level.

Today’s assembly at Government Junior College, Ketu-Epe was truly inspiring.
