Welcome Address & Response to Our New Area Commander
Name: Area Commander Aliyu Aliyu Aliyu
Protocol Observed:
Senior Officers, Instructors, Fellow Officers, Cadets, Ladies and Gentlemen.
1. Opening – Welcome Sir!
Good day, Sir!
Good day, Area Commander Aliyu Aliyu Aliyu!
On behalf of every officer, instructor, and cadet in this Area Command, I stand with pride to say:
Welcome, Sir! You are welcome to your command!
Sir, the name Aliyu Aliyu Aliyu has been repeated three times, and in our tradition, when a name is called three times, it means it is settled.
Today, it is settled — you are our Area Commander.
We receive you with respect, with loyalty, and with open hearts for the new things you bring.
2. What Today Means
Sir, leadership is not about changing people’s faces. It is about changing people’s standards.
Your arrival tells us one thing: the time for business as usual is over.
As the proverb says: “When the drum changes its beat, the dancer must change his steps.”
Sir, beat the drum. We will match your steps.
3. Who We Are
Sir, this Area Command is built on sweat, sacrifice, and service.
We are officers who have trained in sun and rain.
We are cadets who know that discipline is better than comfort.
We may not be the biggest command, but we have the heart of giants.
4. Our Promise to You, Sir
We promise you three things:
First – Loyalty. We will respect the office, obey lawful command, and stand with you in good and tough times.
Second – Discipline. From parade ground to community service, we will carry ourselves in a way that makes you proud to say “these are my officers.”
Third – Results. Give us the vision, Sir, and we will give you action. We will not give you excuses; we will give you progress.
5. Our Expectation
Sir, as you address us on the new things, we ask for three things in return:
1. Clear direction – so we all move in one line.
2. Fair treatment – so hard work is seen and rewarded.
3. Fatherly leadership – correct us when we are wrong, and lift us when we are weary.
6. Closing
Area Commander Aliyu Aliyu Aliyu, Sir,
The men and women behind me are ready.
We are ready to learn, ready to obey, ready to build this Area Command into a standard others will follow.
So once again, Sir:
Welcome. We hear you. We respect you. We are ready for the new things.
Lead us, and we will follow with honor!
Man O’ War! Discipline! Service! Loyalty!
