Dear Good People of Kogi State,
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh.
As we mark the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend my heartiest congratulations to the Muslim Ummah across Kogi state. This Eid-el-Fitr is not just a celebration of breaking the fast; it is a victory for the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and self-discipline that we have cultivated over the past 30 days.
In my capacity as SSA on Community Peace Building, I urge us all to use this festive period to reflect on the "Kogi Project"—a vision of a state where our rich diversity is our greatest strength. Peace is the essential ingredient for the development we all desire.

Embrace Unity: Let us look beyond artificial divisions of tribe or religion. We are one family, united by our shared hope for a prosperous state.
Be Vigilant: Security is a collective responsibility. I enjoin you to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious movements within your communities.
Practice Charity: In the spirit of Eid, remember the less privileged, the widows, and the orphans. A hand of love extended today is a seed of peace planted for tomorrow.
May the blessings of Almighty Allah fill your homes with joy and your hearts with the spirit of forgiveness. Let us emerge from this Ramadan more united and determined to build a greater Kogi State.

His Excellency, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo Declares War on Illegal Mining and Banditry in Isanlu, Kogi State

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Peace Building, Hon. Eunice Oluwawemimo Olukomogbon, has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, to safeguard the peace, lives, and natural resources of Kogi State.

In a decisive move, Governor Ododo has declared total war on illegal mining activities and banditry, describing them as grave threats to the state’s economic stability, environmental safety, and communal harmony. He emphasized that under his administration, no group or individual will be allowed to exploit Kogi’s mineral wealth unlawfully or endanger the safety of law-abiding citizens.

Hon. Eunice Olukomogbon commended the Governor’s proactive leadership and assured that the Peace Building Office will work closely with security agencies, community leaders, and local stakeholders to ensure lasting peace and lawful mining operations across the state.
